It took trying three Heart Percent lip pencils to finally find the right shade for me! My natural lip color is average, not particularly unflattering, so I wasn't looking to dramatically alter my lip line. I mainly bought this for tidying up the edges when I wear moisturizing lip products, which I use often.

While the swatches might look intense, unless you have very pale lips, these shades will likely appear lighter on you. As a cool-toned winter, I found other "rose" shades too deep or vibrant, clashing with my complexion.

However, Salmon Beige is like a flesh tone with a hint of pink, making it perfect for those with light to medium skin (around shades 19-23). It blends seamlessly with the skin around your lips, ideal for defining and slightly overdrawn your lip line.

Don't worry too much about warm or cool undertones when choosing a shade. After all, about 90% of your lips will be covered by lipstick or tint anyway. The most versatile and flattering color is the best choice.

While the application feels nice, it doesn't last very long.
You'll need to reapply every few hours to maintain the look.

When I want to blur my lip line or overline my lips, using a shadowy tone is more effective than a pigmented color. This salmon beige shade works well as it's more of a natural lip color rather than a contouring shade. I appreciate that the pencil isn't too thin, and I'd like to purchase similar shades for contouring.
