Among all the products I've reviewed on Hwahae, this is by far the most unsatisfactory. I'm writing this in hopes that Isntree will see this feedback and improve their product.

The matte finish is indeed there, but it seems they've focused too much on achieving this at the expense of everything else. No matter how I apply it, it pills just like when using a gommage peeling gel!

I thought maybe it wasn't compatible with my skincare routine, so I tried applying it over a lighter base. I also wondered if it was reacting with my vitamin C serum, so I tried skipping that step. I even tried applying it over a heavier moisturizer thinking the extra hydration might help, but nothing worked. It pills every single time.

I came here to write a review thinking it might just be me, but I see quite a few others complaining about the pilling too.

This is supposed to be a convenient sunstick, but it pills so badly that you have to keep smoothing it out - and even that doesn't work well. I'm baffled by how a product can have so many drawbacks.

To top it off, the cap is poorly designed and hard to open. I'm not sure if mine is particularly stiff, but it requires quite a bit of force. A child wouldn't be able to open it at all.

Since I'm not the only one experiencing pilling issues, I really hope they improve this product.

There are plenty of other matte sunscreens in this price range that work much better. I absolutely cannot recommend this one.

It seems to apply easily and lightly, which is great.
If you don't touch your face after applying, it feels like you haven't applied anything at all - there's absolutely no foreign sensation on the skin.

There's some pilling. The product doesn't apply very smoothly, which is the main issue. It especially clings to areas like eyebrows. When you first open it, it doesn't have a clean appearance like some organic sunscreen sticks. While it's not powdery, you'll notice small pieces stuck to the inside of the cap and around the stick. It might smooth out with use, but it's tricky to apply at first. Be careful not to layer it too thickly, or it becomes hard to remove and feels sticky. Apply just enough for coverage. Besides these points, everything else is good.
