While the tone-down effect isn't dramatic, it does work. There's a pearlescent finish. The spoon-shaped applicator picks up a generous amount of product. It's incredibly sticky... feels a bit suffocating and heavy. This is the heaviest gloss I've ever used. The epitome of ethereal beauty... This has become my favorite lip gloss! The shimmer itself is so pretty, with a subtle, luminous pearl that's not over the top. The semi-transparent base with a hint of black is truly... a mood-maker!! I think anyone would get great use out of such a unique lip gloss if they had one in their collection. The plumping effect is pleasantly mild! I usually dislike plumping products because my lips are prone to chapping and sensitivity, but this one doesn't hurt - it just feels a bit warm, which is perfect! While it's in the tint family, it's a full-on gloss, so there's minimal color payoff or longevity. The black base tones down overly bright or vivid colors, allowing you to create various looks with the same lip product! The glitter particles are small and blend well with the black, making it charming even when worn alone. There's a faint sweet scent, but it's tasteless! The applicator is silicone, making it easy to maintain. There are absolutely no downsides. Of course, if you're expecting a clear lip gloss when purchasing, you might be disappointed by the black tint. But for me, I bought it precisely because the black element made it unique, so I'm extremely satisfied! If you absolutely hate plumping effects, you shouldn't use this! Nice lip plumping effect. I've toned down the color saturation a bit, so I often wear it on its own. It's not very sticky. It has shimmer, so sometimes I feel like it's getting into my mouth when I'm eating.
