I don't have extremely sensitive skin, but I usually use tea tree masks for my occasional small blemishes or skin flare-ups. Recently, I've become interested in brightening effects too, so I decided to try this mask! The mask material was pretty standard - not rough, but not super soft either, just average. What stood out was the amount of essence in the mask - there was so much that you could even use the excess on your body! If you love essence-rich masks, you'll probably enjoy this one. Some people mentioned a burning sensation around their mouth, but I didn't experience that at all. Overall, I'd say it's a decent mask with plenty of essence.
ConsThe disappointing part is that I couldn't really tell if the brightening effect worked. Also, I really dislike sticky mask essences, and this one left my skin feeling quite sticky. The essence itself didn't seem to absorb completely, leaving a bit of residue on the skin... With so many satisfying masks out there, I don't feel particularly inclined to buy this one again.

This one gives my skin a hydrated, plump feeling as if it's been drinking water. What's great about this product is that it strengthens the moisture barrier while making the skin feel firm and bouncy. It doesn't just sit on top of the skin; instead, it adheres closely, which I'm really satisfied with! The ample amount of serum in the mask allows for sufficient absorption, which is fantastic. You can feel the deep dryness being alleviated as it gradually absorbs into the skin!
ConsAs someone with dry skin, I'm satisfied, but I think those with oily skin might find it a bit rich. The sheet mask is of average size, so it might be slightly small for some people.
TipStoring it in the refrigerator and applying it cold helps to tighten pores and reduce facial heat! Moreover, using it with a high-frequency device or galvanic device can boost its effectiveness!

It's not a gel, but more like a serum that's close to a toner consistency. Scent: Subtle and not too strong. There's no particular standout fragrance, so it's hard to describe. It wasn't unpleasant though. Mask sheet: Extremely thin. However, it was so saturated with essence that it didn't dry out even after 20 minutes of wear. For my combination dehydrated skin that tends to produce excess sebum and oil, I wouldn't recommend daily use. It seems good for addressing dryness and blemishes. After taking a break for a few days and using it when my skin felt dry, it helped clear up the blemishes that had appeared due to dehydration. Wrinkle improvement: Right after use, wrinkles seemed slightly reduced, but the next day they actually appeared more pronounced. Brightening: This was the least noticeable effect. While it helped with dryness and temporarily softened the appearance of wrinkles, I couldn't really tell if it brightened my skin.
ConsAfter using it for 3 days, I developed hard, painful blemishes and had to stop immediately. However, after taking a break and using it once, it was fine. But as a daily mask routine, it didn't work well for me, at least. The holes in the mask sheet were too small, so they didn't align properly with my eyes, nose, and mouth, which was a bit uncomfortable. The watery texture made it drip a lot, which was inconvenient. It took a lot of patting to get it to absorb, as it tended to sit on top of the skin. I usually apply leftover essence to my body, but this one kept foaming up and just sat on the surface, making it a struggle to get it to absorb.
TipIt's super hydrating with a bit of oil, so when used on days when blemishes are appearing, they tend to disappear by the next day. Recommended for use when you notice blemishes forming. Also, I rubbed the remaining essence on my foot's dead skin cells, and it worked well for exfoliation.

But it's not just about hydration - it's also a functional product for brightening and improving wrinkles, which is a huge plus as it can care for your skin in multiple ways. Each box of this Ugly Firming Kelp Mask contains a generous 10 sheet masks. Just looking at it makes you feel abundant! It seems like this one product could definitively take care of all your hydration needs this fall. Each individual mask looks like this. Despite being a dual-functional cosmetic that tackles both brightening and wrinkle improvement, it doesn't have an overwhelming or rich formula that's typically aimed at middle-aged consumers. Instead, the packaging is simple and clean. The product packaging is thin and compact, making it convenient to pack for travel without adding much weight. While the individual packaging is thin, it contains a generous amount of essence. When I opened it, I had to be careful not to spill the abundant essence inside. The formula is light and fresh, as if targeting those in their 20s and 30s. It has a transparent, runny consistency similar to a toner, but with a slight viscosity. The sheet is very thin and delicate. Despite its thinness, it adheres to the face smoothly without feeling rough. I was pleased to learn that the sheet is made from birch wood pulp, reinforcing its clean beauty credentials. The thin sheet clings to the face without any gaps, making it a perfect fit. It stayed firmly in place until I removed it, which made it very convenient to do other tasks while wearing the mask. I kept the mask on for quite a while, and it remained comfortable without causing any irritation.
ConsHowever, if there's a downside, it's that the essence feels sticky. Although the formula itself is runny and seemed like it would be refreshing, when actually used, it's not as light as water. Even after absorption, it doesn't fully sink into the skin but rather sits on top, leaving a slightly sticky feeling. It's not suitable as a morning or midday mask, and should probably only be used as an evening mask before bed. Apart from the sticky texture, I found the Ugly Firming Kelp First Mask to be not bad overall. While it's gentle enough for sensitive skin, which is a plus, I'm not sure how often I'll reach for it due to my dislike of sticky textures.
TipWhen I placed the mask on my face, I was very satisfied with how soft it was and how well it adhered to my skin. The material doesn't feel cheap or irritating, and it's neither too thick nor so thin that it tears easily - the balance feels just right. There's really a lot of essence, so even after removing the mask, you need to spend quite a bit of time patting the remaining essence into your skin for absorption. Overall, I was satisfied - it provided good hydration, caused no irritation, and didn't trigger any blemishes. It's a solid, reliable product.

It adheres to the skin beautifully, feeling super soft and comfortable. The material is high-quality - not too thick or thin, so it doesn't tear easily. This makes it perfect for using as a sleeping mask at night or as a quick morning treatment. The fragrance-free formula is a big plus, avoiding any unpleasant scents. Overall, it's a solid choice - great for hydration, non-irritating, doesn't cause blemishes, and leaves my skin feeling incredibly moisturized. It's a fantastic mask!
ConsThe only downside is that the essence can feel a bit sticky. It has a slight tendency to sit on the surface of the skin while feeling a bit tacky.
TipPro tip: Before bed, apply the mask and give yourself a cool massage to lower the skin's temperature. It works wonders!

For context, I have combination and super sensitive skin that's prone to blemishes with even the slightest irritation. The best thing about this product is that despite being a functional mask, it doesn't feel overwhelming with hydration. It's less stuffy than other masks and feels like you've just applied a layer of essence. After use, my skin felt nice and firm!
ConsWhile the abundance of essence could be seen as a plus, I found it a bit excessive, making it feel like it wasn't fully absorbing. It might have been too much for my skin, as I noticed some blemishes popping up the very next day. Personally, I think using this once or twice a week would be sufficient.

With a generous 25ml of essence, it's more than ample compared to other masks. It's packed with hydration, leaving your skin feeling moisturized when used before bed. You can really feel it replenishing your skin's moisture. The sheet mask is thin and adheres well to the skin. Due to the abundant and runny essence, I'd recommend using it while lying down before bedtime rather than in the morning. Even if you leave it on longer than recommended, it doesn't dry out and keeps your skin continuously hydrated. While I'm not sure about its brightening effects, I've found it works well as a soothing treatment when my skin is irritated. I keep it in the fridge for a cooling effect, and it doesn't cause any blemishes.
ConsThere's a residual feeling left on the skin. After removing the mask, I was disappointed to find a slightly sticky sensation remaining. As someone with oily skin, I dislike that lingering feeling on my skin, and it's a shame it doesn't absorb cleanly. To deal with this, I either gently wipe with toner after absorption or apply a thin layer of a highly absorbent cream to eliminate the stickiness. I considered giving it 4 stars, but this residual feeling is a bit much for oily skin types. It's disappointing that it leaves a sticky feeling, especially when most masks these days have a clean finish.

The packaging is pretty and clean. When you open it, there's plenty of essence inside! It's great for soaking cotton pads with the leftover amount. There's enough essence that when you apply it, it feels really hydrating! The mask sheet is soft, so it feels nice on the skin, and even though it's thin, it's saturated with essence, giving a plump feeling when applied. The most important part - the essence! First off, the scent is lovely, like a floral fragrance? I'm not sure exactly, but since it's applied directly to the face, the scent is crucial, right? It passes with flying colors! It's incredibly hydrating. Right after using the mask, my skin had a glow, and there was even a slight brightening effect.
ConsDespite its water-like texture, it doesn't absorb quickly. It feels like it's sitting on top of the skin a bit, and because of that, your skin might feel dry underneath after some time. Make sure to move on to the next step in your routine right away!
TipIt's not very viscous, more of a runny water type! It drips whether you're lying down or sitting up... so be careful. After removing the mask, your face looks like it's been doused in oil. Make sure to pat it in right away to help it absorb!

Cons- Unsure about its brightening effectiveness - Disappointed that it felt too sticky after removing the mask - The serum didn't seem to absorb fully, feeling like it was sitting on top of the skin - The mask sheet slightly slipped down the face - The regular price is too expensive without a sale. While I tried it through The Hwahae Testers, I probably wouldn't purchase it myself
TipRemember to strictly follow the recommended time when using sheet masks! Also, since there's plenty of serum, it's a good idea to store the excess in a separate container for future use.

Sensation: It's a refreshing, cool mask pack even without refrigeration! Scent: No unusual fragrance, similar to typical mask packs. Size: The pack size fits smaller face shapes perfectly. I have a smaller face, so usually masks extend down to my neck, but this one fit just right! During use, I loved how it maintained its coolness. Even with two popped blemishes, I felt no stinging, which was great. It quickly soothed any heat, and amazingly, the coolness remained even when removing the mask! (Usually, other masks warm up due to my high skin temperature) The hydration lasts over 5 minutes, making it ideal for a leisurely morning skincare routine before makeup. I mainly used it at night due to busy mornings, but I think it would make makeup application smoother in the morning. After the pack dries, your skin feels firm and bouncy. There's plenty of essence left in the pack, making it great value for money!
ConsThe mask pack size is on the smaller side. It might not fit average face sizes well. Apart from being vegan and using recycled paper, it doesn't offer anything particularly special, making it rather ordinary. It doesn't seem effective for brightening or wrinkle improvement. It appears to only provide hydration, and there's a feeling that it doesn't adhere closely to the skin, seeming to float on the surface.
