I found that applying a thin layer worked better than a thick one. It was great for casual massaging. If you're planning to use it before makeup, apply a very thin layer and let it absorb fully for the best results!

Right after application, there's a slight rich feeling that might be a bit uncomfortable. If you apply too much, it can leave your face looking shiny like oil. I didn't notice any significant calming effects or blemish reduction. To be honest, I didn't feel it had any standout benefits in terms of hydration or oil and moisture balance.

The texture isn't too heavy, making it suitable for all skin types. I used it like a true emulsion - sometimes on my legs and arms, and also on my face. While it's not the quickest to absorb, I loved that it left no residue. The application is incredibly smooth and moisturizing. When my face felt hot, it even had a cooling effect like a soothing gel. Though it doesn't have a calming effect, that's also its strength. It's versatile enough for all skin types and feels gentle to use. I'd recommend giving it a try!

If I really had to nitpick, I'd say it's not quite enough for nighttime care. It's better to use other more intensive products for that. I initially used it a bit for nighttime but ended up setting it aside for that purpose.

I didn't use it much for my regular skincare routine before, but since I started working, I've been applying toner and serum in the morning before makeup, finishing with this soothing cream. It leaves my skin hydrated and helps my makeup go on smoothly! It's light yet moisturizing enough, making it perfect for seasonal changes. I'm extremely satisfied using it... Thanks to this cream, my morning cleansing and makeup routine has become something I look forward to.

Use any lightweight toner you prefer, then apply the Lap:it serum and moisturizer together - it's perfect for combination dehydrated skin in spring and fall! When you feel like you need extra moisture, mix in a drop or two of jojoba oil for the perfect blend! I plan to keep using this until it's discontinued.

I didn't really notice any dramatic effects in terms of tightening enlarged pores. To be honest, for such dramatic results, you'd probably need to visit a dermatologist...

I have combination dehydrated skin that's seriously lacking in hydration! Actually, I bought this moisturizer while looking for a light summer cream, but it turned out to be more deeply moisturizing than expected. It's probably better suited for seasonal transitions rather than the peak of summer! I've tried the entire Lap:it Pore series, and the toner, serum, and cream all worked well for me. It's perfectly rich and hydrating for combination dehydrated skin. Of course, it doesn't completely close up large pores as the name might suggest, but that's okay!

The issue is the itching after application. It seems different products suit different people.

As expected, applying too much can lead to pilling when applying base makeup. Being a soothing formula, it might be a bit trickier to control the amount compared to The Lab.

I have dry skin with a combination dehydrated T-zone. I'll compare this product to another popular Daiso item, the 'Wrap It Pore Soothing Cream'.

1. Absorption (Texture):
The Wrap It has a translucent soothing cream texture, while The Lab is an opaque white moisturizer. Wrap It is slightly thicker. I found The Lab to be smoother and it absorbs more evenly.

2. Hydration:
Due to the difference in finish, The Lab feels a bit more hydrating.

3. Finish:
Wrap It quickly leaves the skin feeling powdery. It has a 'matte but moisturized' feel without seeming dry. The Lab has a firming, smooth sensation that clings to the skin. Neither feels overly rich. Both perform well as moisturizers. While both have minimal transfer, Wrap It has slightly less.

For even better results and added hydration, try using it together with the serum from the same line. (Though I find the serum to be a bit on the lighter side.)

I honestly can't find any downsides to this product. It's a solid performer that really delivers on its promises.

As someone with combination dehydrated skin - oily T-zone and dry cheeks - I've been searching for a cream that can balance this out. I was thrilled to find this affordable option at Daiso and decided to give it a try. I must say, Daiso is really stepping up their game! This product perfectly meets my needs. However, during winter when my skin's hydration levels drop by about 50%, I found this cream alone wasn't quite enough to combat dryness. Still, it does a great job controlling oil, so I've been layering a more nourishing cream on top in areas where I need extra moisture. From late spring through early fall, this cream was absolutely perfect on its own. The texture is neither too light nor too heavy, and it absorbs well into the skin. I can even reapply without any pilling. When used before makeup, it creates a nice base that's not drying (at least during the warmer months) and helps everything adhere well.
