First off, my skin type is oily in summer and combination for the rest of the year! To start with my review, I was extremely satisfied. I applied this after spritzing on mist and applying toner. The scent wasn't artificial or overpowering, so it wasn't bothersome. My skin didn't have any adverse reactions while using it, so I think the ingredients are quite good. While there weren't any dramatic effects like blemishes disappearing or instant reduction in redness, since it's an ampoule, I felt it really did an excellent job at addressing deep dryness! When using it before makeup, I noticed the ampoule definitely tackled deep dryness without leaving any oily residue on the surface, which seemed to make my makeup apply even better. Also, the texture is almost water-like, so I think it could be versatile for various skin types and can be easily combined with other products. If you're looking for a lightweight product that addresses deep dryness and provides definite hydration, I highly recommend this product! I used it for two weeks, but since it's an ampoule, the amount seems a bit small. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 20, 2024
Here's my review after using the Azulene Boost Ampoule for over a week! Texture: It has a light consistency with a fresh finish. Not heavy at all, making it perfect for summer use! Scent: There's a subtle herbal or traditional medicinal aroma, but it's not overpowering, so it's quite pleasant. Packaging: The bottle is a refreshing green color and feels lightweight. If you dislike heavy, greasy ampoules in summer, you'll love this Azulene Boost Ampoule for its lightweight and hydrating properties! I'm really satisfied that I can layer it multiple times without it feeling heavy on my skin. The bottle opening is a bit stiff, so you need to use both hands to remove the dropper, which can be a bit inconvenient. On particularly dry days, you can apply it twice or more, or even use it as a mask for extra hydration. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 20, 2024
Scent: The product has a unique herbal scent due to its many plant extracts, but it's pleasantly mild. (Those sensitive to smells might want to take note, though.) Texture: While some reviews mention it's too thin, I found the lightweight texture perfect for oily skin types. It applies smoothly without feeling heavy. Plus, it seems ideal for summer use! Soothing Effect: While it doesn't provide dramatic, instant soothing, consistent use shows gradual improvement. Acne slowly subsides, and new breakouts become less frequent. >> It seems to balance the skin barrier and oil-moisture levels effectively >> Rather than quick fixes, it addresses underlying issues for long-term soothing With regular use, you can experience a gentle, progressive calming effect. Ingredients: The formula includes various beneficial components, promising multiple skin benefits. This contributes to an overall improvement in skin condition. Generally gentle and non-irritating, suitable even for sensitive and blemish-prone skin. Texture: As mentioned in the pros, the texture has both advantages and drawbacks. It's thicker than a serum but thinner than typical ampoules, making its place in a skincare routine somewhat ambiguous. Those with dry skin might find it lacking in moisture. While layering is possible, it may lead to using up the product quickly. Soothing Effect: Don't expect quick, dramatic results. Patience is key - observe changes gradually with consistent use. Ingredients: While the diverse, quality ingredients are a plus, their varied functions (skin barrier, elasticity, sebum control, wrinkle improvement) might be a case of trying to do too much at once. Sebum control, oil-moisture balance, and soothing effects were noticeable, but I didn't see much improvement in skin elasticity. PS. Writing about the pros and cons, I realized this product shows duality in many aspects. Therefore, if you assess your skin needs and use it accordingly, it can certainly be a beneficial product. I've included some tips on how to best use this ampoule throughout the review! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinMay 18, 2024
I have combination dehydrated skin with an oily T-zone! The texture is light and flows like water! Scent: There's a slight herbal scent, but it's not strong so it didn't bother me. Packaging: The dropper makes it easy to use, and the slightly bent tip works well with the runny formula! The rubber grip on the dropper handle is firm, making it easy to dispense the product. Experience: As the weather gets warmer, I felt my winter skincare was too rich. But the Azulene Boost Ampoule absorbs quickly into the skin due to its light texture, allowing makeup to apply smoothly - it's a makeup-friendly ampoule! I think this ampoule will really shine in summer!! Lately, I've been doing a simple morning routine with just an exfoliating toner pad + Azulene Boost Ampoule, followed by sunscreen and semi-matte foundation. I haven't experienced any dryness at all! At night, I use it with tea tree oil and follow up with a moisturizing cream - it's perfect! Personally, as someone with combination dehydrated skin, I was satisfied with the hydration in warmer weather. However, it might not provide enough moisture for dry skin types or during colder seasons! Perhaps layering it multiple times and finishing with a richer cream could work... I recommend using the Azulene Boost Ampoule in this order: light water-based toner > Azulene Boost Ampoule > moisturizing cream, rather than with an oil-based toner. Since it has a very light, water-like consistency, I suggest layering it with other lightweight products! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 10, 2024
As someone who already loves azulene products, I think this one is great too. The scent isn't overpowering, which makes it pleasant to use. I have dry skin, so I apply it twice, and after that, I hardly feel any deep dryness! Still, I find that a richer cream keeps me moisturized until morning. If the price was a bit more wallet-friendly, I'd definitely consider repurchasing! I wish the formula had a bit more viscosity. As soon as I put it on my face, it runs down, which is such a waste. Other than that, I don't have any complaints!
