I applied for this ampoule due to dull skin from acne and enlarged pores (my face is darker than the rest of my body) and under-eye dark circles. Reading the description, I wondered if it would be effective for both my brightening needs and my friend's pigmentation concerns. Though 3 weeks of use is recommended, I received an 8-day supply. Since I couldn't maximize the effects in such a short time, I decided to split it with my friend and potentially purchase more for a full 3-week treatment if we liked it. I only apply for products I truly need. My positive experiences: 1. Brightening While I didn't notice immediate brightening, my skin looked less red and more vibrant. Comparing photos, I realized my yellowish skin had become more natural-looking. 2. Dark circles 👍 There are different types of dark circles, and mine seemed similar to those caused by melanin. I was considering a pharmacy recommendation when this Hwahae Testers opportunity came up. The results exceeded my expectations, especially for dark circles. I even applied the patches directly to my under-eye area without any irritation. 3. Hydration I applied the patches, let the ampoule absorb, then spread the remaining product over my entire face. Even after waiting 30 minutes before applying other skincare, my skin didn't feel dry at all. 4. Scent I can't stand strong cosmetic smells, but this had a pleasant, refreshing citrus scent. However, there is a downside to this. My friend's positive experiences: 1. Amount The ampoule quantity was generous, allowing for thorough application to problem areas. 2. Texture She loved the rich, elastic texture that made her skin feel firm and bouncy.
ConsMy concerns: 1. Irritation While wearing the patches felt tingly, removing them was more irritating than expected - similar to peeling off tape. 2. Cost and inconvenience 👎 Though the brightening effects are decent for the price and number of uses, it feels cumbersome in our busy lives to add this step plus other skincare. I might consider professional treatments instead. 3. Fragrance ingredients While the scent is pleasant and mild, I'm slightly concerned about the added fragrance, though it's not a major issue. My friend's concerns: 1. Patch size The patches were too small to cover her entire pigmentation area. 2. Pigmentation results She didn't notice any improvement in her pigmentation. While the trial period was short, most people buy one product to test before repurchasing, and she saw no effects. Shared concerns: 1. Application method 👎 The instructions to apply on dry skin, let the patch absorb for 30 minutes, then apply remaining product felt excessive. We both disliked leaving skin bare for 30 minutes (I have oily skin, she has combination). I modified by applying the patch, using remaining product all over, then waiting 30 minutes before continuing my routine. (As mentioned in the positives, my skin didn't feel dry during this time).
TipFor those who struggle with the 30-minute wait on dry skin, I recommend applying the patch, using remaining product all over, then waiting 30 minutes as I did. ⭐️⭐️I personally only recommend this for those committed to long-term, consistent use. I tried to take photos with consistent angles and lighting. In person, the brightening effect was subtle - mainly reduced redness and a more vibrant look. The photos show more dramatic brightening, which surprised me (I chose the most accurate from multiple shots). I'll add my friend's photos later.

The ampoule's syringe-like design requires careful pressure control, but it becomes convenient once you get used to it. I particularly appreciated the cap, which is a great feature. The product comes with a generous amount of content. The magnesium needles on the patch are also very densely packed.
ConsThe patch itself is much more irritating than I expected. It hurts when applying, while it's on, and when removing. After some time, when you take it off, you can see hexagonal needle marks and patch imprints, indicating how sharp it is. Compared to other blemish patches with magnesium needles, this one is on a whole different level of irritation. The 40-minute application time is also too long. I think a type you can wear while sleeping would be more convenient. As for its effects on dark spots and brightening, I'm not really sure.

The protective film on the patches was easy to remove without sticking to my hands. The patches had tiny needles, so I felt a slight tingling sensation when applying them to my problem areas. Fortunately, my melasma wasn't too widespread on my cheeks, so I only used them on specific spots. However, I thought it would have been better if the patches were a bit larger. The ampoule was pleasantly hydrating and more generous in quantity than I expected. I applied the excess to the rest of my face. After 30 minutes, when I removed the patch, my skin was slightly red, but it subsided after a while. I've used 3 sets so far, and I can definitely say my complexion looks brighter than before.
ConsI think it would be better if the patches were a bit larger. Also, people with thin or super sensitive skin might find it slightly irritating.

I avoid fermented ingredients and oily components as they don't suit me well. I don't have dark circles under my eyes, so I thought my mom in her 50s would be a better tester to see the product's effectiveness. I gave it to her to use! First-time users of needle patches might find the slight tingling sensation a bit unfamiliar, but you get used to it after a few uses. The effect is subtle, but it seems to have lightened the dark spots a bit! It's not completely ineffective. The best part is that the ampoule quantity is generous - enough to use on the patches and separately all over the face, which I loved! The ampoule is also light and refreshing. My mom has extremely sensitive skin, but she used it without any blemishes or skin reactions!
ConsThe downside is that if your skin is very sensitive to irritation, the needle patch might not be suitable. It could potentially cause irritation. The most inconvenient aspect is that since it's a patch application, you need to use it on bare skin after cleansing. It can be a bit uncomfortable to just apply the under-eye patches on dry skin and wait for a few minutes. You can do your skincare routine on the rest of your face while waiting, but it's still a bit inconvenient.

I liked how well the ampoule absorbs. I could feel a temporary brightening effect during the usage period.
ConsThe patches are smaller than expected. They're likely to be applied to the upper cheekbone area where sun exposure is high and dark spots are prominent, but the adhesive is too strong. It's painful to remove, and there's a concern about stretching thinner areas of skin. There's also some irritation, so it's crucial to adjust the duration and frequency of use. The area where the patch is applied becomes red and inflamed, requiring a thick layer of soothing cream to be applied.

The texture is quite fluid, but surprisingly not drying. It has a subtle citrusy scent reminiscent of yuzu. Individually packaged in syringes for hygienic application.
ConsThe included patch was too harsh for my sensitive skin. Once you open the syringe packaging, you have to use it immediately, preventing any future reuse. The price point is rather steep.

Here's my review after using it 3 times: At first, I thought it was just a regular patch and was surprised when I applied it! Turns out it's a magnesium patch. After re-reading the instructions, I applied it correctly and then put on the ampoule. I was worried because I have super sensitive skin and have had bad reactions to brightening products before, but after 3 uses, no blemishes at all! When I spread the remaining ampoule over a wider area, it wasn't too sticky and absorbed well over time. I think my complexion might have become a bit brighter! I'll definitely keep using it consistently from now on!
ConsThe patch stung a little when I first applied it, which startled me, but I got used to it from the second application. There was also some slight irritation when removing it.

So I applied it gently, without pressing too hard, and then applied the ampoule. With a light touch, it wasn't overly irritating. The ampoule has a refreshing citrus scent and feels incredibly hydrating, absorbing quickly into the skin. I'm not sure about the brightening effects yet, but since it contains niacinamide, a skin-brightening ingredient, I think it might show results with consistent use. I also appreciated the luxurious and hygienic packaging.
ConsFor those with super sensitive skin, leaving the patch on for too long might cause irritation. While the instructions suggest removing it after 30-40 minutes, I recommend checking your skin's condition and removing it accordingly!

I was selected as a Hwahae Tester to review this product. Product usage: Apply the patch to problem areas (in my case, under the left eye and on large acne scars and blemishes on the right side), then apply the ampoule and remove after 30-40 minutes. Application process: The ampoule quantity is quite generous. I kept applying it to the patch for 40 minutes, then used the excess on other parts of my face. After using the product, I finished with my usual moisturizer. On days when I didn't use this product, I stuck to my regular routine of vitamin C care. Results: After using the product, my skin felt generally soothed. It's hard to say if this product alone made a significant difference, as I also used a vitamin C serum to further improve my blemishes. While my blemishes and scars didn't disappear completely, they seemed to have faded, and my acne scars appear to be lightening. I think continued use will show more precise results! I'll update later with more findings.
ConsAs you can see, the application time is quite long, which might be challenging during busy periods. I only managed to use it twice during the testing period, applying it whenever I had time. Also, the patch itself can be somewhat irritating, so those with a compromised skin barrier should probably avoid using it.

That's why I usually focus on brightening products in my skincare routine. This product consists of a patch you apply to your desired area, followed by a serum in a syringe-like container that you apply directly on top. The patch size is smaller than expected, so there's much more serum than patch area. The patch has what they call 'needles' these days - tiny prickles that create a slight tingling sensation when applied to the skin. It seems to help the serum absorb better, and I definitely notice the effects. The results appear faster compared to regular sheet masks or patches without needles. As the needles felt a bit irritating, I used the product every other evening and have used it about 5 times so far. I feel like my melanin pigmentation has lightened a bit. I considered taking before and after photos, but it's hard to capture accurately due to light reflection and lighting. While the needle patch helps, I think the serum itself is great for brightening. As mentioned earlier, the patch is small, so I end up applying the serum to various parts of my face, and I feel like my overall complexion has brightened. After removing the patch, it's necessary to apply a moisturizing cream all over. The serum has a slightly thick texture but applies smoothly without irritation, has no scent, and absorbs well into the skin. I think the serum would be great as a standalone product too.
ConsThe downside is that the patch size is too small. I wish it were larger. While it seems to be designed for 'targeted treatment', it doesn't even cover the entire cheekbone area, which is disappointing. As a result, I end up using it on different areas each time, which defeats the purpose of concentrated treatment. After all, melanin doesn't just appear in one small spot. Also, the needles do cause some irritation. After wearing it for about 40 minutes, the area where it was applied turns red. It does subside over time, but because of this, it's best to use it only in the evening. However, it didn't cause any major skin reactions, and the redness goes away soon. Lastly, it seems quite expensive for the amount you get.
TipSince there's more serum than patch area, I first apply the patch, then apply a layer of serum. After it's absorbed, I continue to apply more layers of serum several times. It's a bit tedious, but I think applying more serum to the area with the needles might enhance the concentrated effect. I believe using it this way might lead to better results.
