After using retinaldehyde for a while, I've become even more convinced that there's no real need for me to use it. I gave in to curiosity when the new product came out, and I slightly regret that. Assuming long-term, consistent use, retinaldehyde's position is too ambiguous compared to retinol, tretinoin, adapalene, or trifarotene in terms of price, irritation, and efficacy. Since I use these products cautiously anyway when building up tolerance, I'm not sure if I even need to go through retinaldehyde. But the product itself was good, so I'll give it 5 stars.

The rapid fading of my acne scars suggests the turnover effect is effective. The formula is very thin, making it easy to apply as a spot treatment or all over.
The liquid is yellow. I mixed it or used it alone in my routine, and it never left any residue. Maybe it's because I tend to sleep on my back? Absorbs quickly. No distinct fragrance.
