  Pros

  This is great! No irritation and it made my skin smooth... For retinol to be effective, you need to start with a minimum concentration of 2500IU. A 2500IU concentration is considered the least irritating among effective options. It's affordable and easily accessible at Daiso, which is convenient.

  Cons

  This isn't really a drawback, but rather proof that the concentration is effective. When I ran out of my regular cream, I used this as a replacement, applying a generous amount like I would with a moisturizer. The next morning, my face was tingling and red. As long as you don't go overboard like I did, it won't cause any irritation at all.

  Tip

  Apply it as the final step in your skincare routine, like you're sealing everything in.

  Pros

  It's great to find this affordable retinol product with a high concentration at Daiso as an entry-level option. Retinol skincare can be expensive, so it's amazing to get it at this price! It seems perfect for gradually adapting to retinol in small amounts.

  Cons

  I applied a tiny amount around my eyes and neck, but being my first time using it, it still seemed to irritate my skin. Red spots appeared on my neck. I might need to mix it with a moisturizer to dilute it further. Caution is definitely needed when using this product.

  Tip

  Beginners should really apply this sparingly. It seems more potent than expected.

  Pros

  A cream that kindly informed me, for just 5000 won, that retinol and my skin are absolutely not compatible...

  Cons

  As I have sensitive skin, I was a bit wary of retinol. So I tried this Daiso product with low retinol content, not on my face but only on my neck. After about 3-4 days of use, a creeping itch started to develop. My neck became incredibly itchy and tingly, which terrified me, so I threw it away. I'm giving it two stars because it's cheap.

  Tip

  I recommend this to anyone who wants to check if retinol suits them or not for just 5000 won.

  Pros

  If I had to find a positive, I'd say the affordable price is about the only thing going for it.

  Cons

  My skin usually isn't sensitive to products, but this one was a disaster. The day after using it, my skin started peeling off! Then came the blemishes and acne that I never had before. It was truly awful. While everyone's skin reacts differently, for me, this was memorably terrible. They say retinol can be irritating, but I've used other brands' retinol products without any issues.
