[Writer's Skin Type and Personal Color Information] • Skin Type: #21 shade, Very Dry + Sensitive skin • Personal Color: Summer Cool-tone Light [Product Information and Shade Used] • Product Name: Lilybyred Sweet Liar Tint • Shades Used: 02 Pretending to be Rose Custard / 05 Pretending to be Honey Grapefruit Crepe • Texture: Feels somewhat like a water-blur tint • Staying Power: Not great. After eating, it's a case of "Now you see it, now you don't." • Color Payoff: 02 was so light I could barely tell if I applied it, while 05 showed up a bit better. • Repurchase Intention: Would consider 05, but definitely not 02... While this review shares content with the 05 shade from the same series, let me add that it's truly a lip base. I'd only recommend this to those who are okay with a "your lips but better" look that's almost undetectable. - 9j********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedMay 25, 2025
The color is great as a base lip for those with cool undertones, whether summer or winter. It applies moisturizing at first, and as it sets, it feels like it's coating your lips. When applying and as it sets, it tends to clump a lot and creates a "yogurt effect" (patchy, uneven application). I managed to improve it a bit by applying a lip plumper on top. The shade range seems suitable for cool-toned skin. The initial application is hydrating, but the setting process might be problematic for some users. Consider using a lip primer or balm underneath to prevent patchiness, or top it with a gloss for a smoother finish. - 8r********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 12, 2025
I'm a total makeup newbie... I heard about this through the grapevine and decided to give it a try. It turned out to be amazing for me! It's so easy to apply and I absolutely love it, especially the beautiful color! I'm in awe! My friend pointed out that it clumps a little... You might want to keep that in mind. - cy*******Normal SkinAcne SkinDark CirclesRednessRecommendedMay 11, 2025
It's a cool-toned shade that's surprisingly pretty and slightly moisturizing for a matte lip! I think it would look beautiful paired with a glossy tint. As time passes, it tends to emphasize dead skin cells a bit and there's some patchiness. - so*************Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedApr 12, 2025
The packaging is absolutely gorgeous, and it doesn't emphasize dead skin cells at all. The color is subtle, making it perfect as a natural lip tint or base lip color. It's a bit disappointing to use on its own, and the yogurt-like effect isn't as noticeable as expected. - go*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 3, 2025
I bought this on a whim and absolutely love it! The color is truly gorgeous... The texture applies beautifully... The scent is lovely too... Perfect for wearing at work or school It does get a bit dry after a while, so you need to apply some lip balm over it There's a slight yogurt-like scent, so you should wait about 10 seconds after applying before pressing your lips together - yx**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesRecommendedMar 30, 2025
The color payoff is truly impressive. The formula applies smoothly and moisturizes while feeling velvety at the finish. It has excellent longevity, and it's a beautiful lip color for cool-toned complexions to use as a base. If not applied evenly, it may slightly accentuate dead skin cells on the lips. Using this lip color as a base and layering another lip product on top for accent creates a stunning look. - ch*********Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 29, 2025
This would be perfect for those who don't suit bold lip colors! It's great for wearing on its own. When you layer it or just use it as an accent, it looks absolutely stunning. It's such a shame that there's so little product. Also, the brush bends too easily. - su********Combination SkinAcne SkinWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 22, 2025
The fragrance is lovely and the color is beautiful. It would suit those with summer skin tones perfectly. The only downside is that the quantity is disappointingly small. There's nothing else negative to say. - wj********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 9, 2025
From left to right: Rom&nd Custard Mauve - Peripera Mam-jjik Rose - Naming Persona - Lilybyred Fake Rose Custard - Peripera Cool Dang Craze The first photo shows how they look when applied normally, and the second shows the staining effect. Among the five, Rom&nd had the strongest rosy tint. The staying power was similar for all, but Peripera lasted the longest, while Lilybyred seemed to fade the quickest. When applied over dead skin cells, Peripera emphasized them the most, while Naming showed the least emphasis. As I have cool-neutral undertones, Custard Mauve suited me best. Except for Naming, they all worked well as blushers too. Applying them over noticeable dead skin cells was a bit uncomfortable. Use a lip brush for application!
