The staining and color payoff are quite sheer, so it's best used as a base. However, the shade is so pretty that it works perfectly as a base layer.

The color is absolutely gorgeous! It enhances my natural lip color while subtly altering the tone. The pigmentation is lovely, and it applies with a velvety finish!

It feels slightly moisturizing at first, but once it sets, it has a matte tint finish.
If you prefer a more hydrating feel, I recommend using this tint as a base and layering another tint or lip balm on top.
