Pros1. The design is a knockout. (From the sleek opening to the chic look, it's super stylish and pretty. Even the attached lip brush has a cute vintage vibe, and the ball chain is thinner than usual, giving it a delicate feel. Design-wise, it's perfect.)
2. It's versatile. (Based on shade #1 Ardor Color, it can be used as a cheek tint, color lip balm, palette, and accent color. See TIPS for detailed explanation.)
3. Blends well with base makeup. (It applies with a clear, non-vibrant finish that harmonizes with any base color. The formula itself also mixes well with both matte and glossy lip products without any noticeable boundaries.)
4. Beautiful color - 1. Ardor Color (Very similar to the official website swatch, but slightly lighter and less glossy. Characterized by a clear finish!)
5. High-performance lip brush (Feels like it combines the best features of silicone and bristle brushes.)
6. I'm considering purchasing! (The included lip brush makes it convenient to use. The design is so pretty that I want to buy another in a different color. However, if I'm only thinking about the quality of the product itself, I might go for the clear version.)
Cons1. It's ambiguous whether it's moisturizing or matte. (The semi-glossy finish seems aimed at being moisturizing, but it's not really. Even after multiple applications, it applies clearly, making it better suited as a cheek tint. When lips are dry and flaky, it tends to settle into lines.)
2. The color payoff isn't intense. (It doesn't apply with vibrant pigmentation. More suitable for a natural lip look, requiring multiple layers for a more defined color.)
3. It comes off easily. (Don't expect long-lasting wear. When used as an accent color on the inner lips, it wore off unevenly, which was inconvenient.)
4. It transfers. (As stated, it transfers easily and comes off readily.)
5. The application is so-so. (Due to my current less-than-ideal lip condition, it was challenging to apply evenly on flaky lips. It doesn't provide a glossy coating feel, nor should you expect it to function like a lip balm.)
TipCan be used as a cheek tint (The clear, dewy formula is perfect for use as a cheek tint. It doesn't become harsh even with multiple layers. You can create a soft cream blush by mixing it with a bit of foundation.)
Keyring (It's hip and pretty.)
Mirror (Useful for applying while checking your lips, and for quick checks of eyes, lips, or teeth.)
Color lip balm (Squeeze out a lip balm-sized amount and mix with the lip brush for a much more moisturizing, natural-looking lip.)
Like a palette (You can mix desired colors or textures in single-use portions to create different lip looks! Recommended to mix with base colors. Works well for both cool-toned and warm-toned reds.)
