To be honest... I was initially considering buying the Blue Core Blurring Palette from the same line, which only differs in shade number. However, I prefer palettes with more vibrant pigmentation, so I went for the #19 Blue Sand Blurring Palette! First off, the overall color scheme perfectly captures a summery vibe - it's like a beach in a palette! You've got sandy oranges for a pop of color, and a range of blues from light to deep that really evoke the cool waves and ocean. The color arrangement is fun and interesting. (While there is some excess, the pigmentation and staying power are really impressive, which is why I find myself reaching for it consistently.) From mattes to shimmery pearls and glitters, each shade applies smoothly with great color payoff. As a beauty junkie, I have to say the glitter shades are incredibly dazzling - pictures don't do them justice! (Personally, I adore how WAKEMAKE creates unique color stories in each So Blurring palette. It allows for fresh, exciting eye looks that don't get boring, which is why I'm such a fan of the brand.) The last two photos show an eye look I created with the Blue Sand Blurring Palette. I'm in love with how refreshing and cool it turned out! There's absolutely nothing to dislike about this palette. As someone who loves a bit of glamour, I'm completely satisfied with every aspect of it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 13, 2024
Wake Make's Soft Blurring Eye Palette in Blue Sand captures the diverse blues of the ocean and sandy beaches. I decided to try it out with my own money! Blue core makeup has been trending lately, and true to their reputation as trendsetters, Wake Make has really nailed the color selection for this blue core eye palette! The palette features a range of blue shades reminiscent of the sea. Additionally, there are sandy hues that evoke images of the beach, which are great for layering colors. Don't worry if you're not a cool tone - the blues in this Blue Sand Blurring palette aren't extremely cool-toned like you might expect from typical blue shades! I've noticed that as new colors are added to their line, the overall quality of the palettes seems to improve. With this Blue Sand Blurring palette, I felt that all the formulations, regardless of type, were of good quality! What I loved most about this palette were the gorgeous glitters. Also, except for the light sky blue shade, the color payoff was quite satisfying, making it a pleasure to use. You can create everyday looks by utilizing the sandy colors and adding blue accents for a pop of color. There's nothing to complain about - the blue shades are more diverse than expected, and you can create daily looks using colors 1-6. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 3, 2024
While the previous Blue Core palette had mostly pearlescent blues which was a bit disappointing, this new palette offers a fantastic range of blue shades with varying levels of intensity. I'm really satisfied! There's minimal excess powder fallout, and it's perfect for creating that Y2K vibe. The palette also includes some brown and pink tones, which makes it versatile for creating a variety of makeup looks! The colors are quite bold for everyday wear. However, that's precisely what makes this palette special and intriguing... - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinJun 2, 2024
The color palette is truly unique! As a makeup collector who lives for fun, I'm thrilled. The packaging is refreshingly on-theme too. The glitters are absolutely stunning, especially the third glitter in the third row - it's a cyber-glow blue highlighter that's out of this world. As a cool-toned person who typically looks great in gray-purple but gets 'looks off' reactions when wearing warm brown, I was prepared to only use the blue shades. Surprisingly, except for the top row glitters (which are genuinely warm as pictured), most colors were wearable. While the page's main photo shows orange-brown shading, in reality, everything's a bit cooler, making it more versatile. It's great that this palette isn't exclusively for cool tones - the shading is warm to match the beach sand concept, and even the blue leans warm for cool-toned folks, making it accessible for various skin tones. True to W&ME palettes, there's some excess powder fallout. The following comments are based on deep to dark skin tones, but remember, most people likely have lighter complexions and may have different experiences. For deep skin tones, everything except the far right column has a white base, which was surprising. The cool gray in the second row, which I thought would be a smoky mid-tone shade, looks more like a bruise. Even the vibrant blue in the bottom row has an unexpected white undertone. To make it work for deeper skin, you'd need to really pack on the darker blue next to it (which is glittery, so not ideal for heavy application). I wish there was a matte deep blue similar to the glittery one in the bottom right corner. The black in the second row isn't as intense as pan color suggests, but it's buildable, which could be a plus since intense black shadows are easy to find as singles. It does have beautiful blue or silver micro-glitters that make it pleasing to look at - it's like the night sky. I ended up with a party look trying to use all the colors (though I couldn't fit all 16 on my eyes!). For daily wear, I'd suggest choosing colors that suit your undertone, applying them in small areas as accents, and using the shimmer shades as inner corner or brow bone highlights.
