Above all, after using it, your skin texture really improves. If you've been stressed about uneven skin, I highly recommend this. While you can wash off the oil with soap if you don't have a gel cleanser, I suggest using the Green Barley Gel Cleanser from the same line. They work in synergy beautifully. It has great cleansing effectiveness and there's no specific skin type it's limited to - it's suitable for all.
ConsIt's not really a drawback, but the oil is quite thin, so it's best not to squeeze out too much. It tends to run down your face.
TipUse one pump on each side of your face, once on your forehead (it will flow down to your nose), and a little on your chin. It's particularly effective on areas with whiteheads or excess sebum on the chin and other spots.

It's the best at removing makeup among all the oils I've used. You don't even need a separate eye or lip remover - it takes off most mascaras and eye makeup effortlessly. Plus, it's fragrance-free, which I really appreciate as someone who doesn't like scented oils. The texture is quite fluid, like water. However, I should caution that it might leave a slightly tight feeling after use, so I'd be careful recommending it to those with super sensitive skin or deep dryness. On the bright side, you get a generous amount, so it lasts for ages!
ConsThe water-like consistency can be a bit tricky to handle - it tends to run down your arms, which can be inconvenient. Also, I never really understood what people meant by skin feeling 'tight' until I used this oil. There were a few times when I didn't follow up with a foam cleanser properly, and I ended up with some blemishes. Apart from these issues, everything else about the product was pretty good!
TipFor efficient use, pump the product two or three times onto dry hands. Then, apply it evenly on your cheeks and forehead, gently massaging in circular motions. This method helps you use the oil economically while ensuring effective cleansing.

I had a bad experience with a cleansing oil years ago that caused small bumps, so I avoided them for about 5 years. This one was different. While removing makeup, I focused on rolling it to tackle blackheads. I noticed white, fluffy bits coming up, which felt like it was clearing out sebum. When I added water and continued massaging, it even lathered up. It removed makeup effectively in the first cleanse, without that heavy feeling some cleansing oils have. It felt light and gentle, leaving my skin comfortable.
ConsPerhaps due to its gentleness, the texture is quite runny - almost like a toner. You need to apply it to your face immediately after pumping it into your hand, otherwise it'll drip down your wrist and onto the floor.

It's so gentle with minimal irritation that even those with super sensitive skin could likely use it. - While it might take a bit more time to completely remove waterproof mascara, it does an excellent job at taking off even high-coverage concealers.
ConsThe oil is quite thin, so it tends to run down my hands before I can fully apply it to my face. What a waste!
TipTo prevent the oil from dripping, I recommend pumping out small amounts at a time instead of dispensing a large quantity all at once.

I only used them for double cleansing makeup. But this product's texture is incredibly light and thin, which I absolutely love. ●Scent and After-feel: The fragrance isn't overpowering, and post-cleanse, my skin doesn't feel slippery or oily. It just takes care of dryness. ●Whiteheads and Dead Skin Cells Removal: While I'll need to use it longer to see effects on blackheads, I immediately noticed its effectiveness on whiteheads and dead skin cells. My nose often had visible flakes, but this product significantly reduced that during cleansing. ☆Highly Effective for Underarm Cleansing: For those concerned about underarm odor, I strongly recommend trying this product. I'm sensitive to deo-chlors and alcohol swabs, and soap leaves my skin too dry. The Glow Barley Cleansing Oil effectively tackles odor without causing dryness when used separately during showers. It cleanses well and leaves a fresh finish, making it feel like a replacement for cleansing foam. In autumn and winter, I follow up with an ampoule or hydrating cream due to the dry weather.
ConsIt's very runny, which might be hit-or-miss for some people as it tends to drip down the arms while massaging the face. I wish it came in a larger size option.
Tip[ My Usual Routine ] Wash hands before cleansing - Gently massage with cleansing oil then rinse - Apply basic skincare (with cica ingredients) - Dab a small amount of Ecnon cream on pustular acne on the nose Shower Routine: Before using body wash, apply cleansing oil to underarms, massage, then shower. It's great for controlling body odor.

The texture was a standard oil formulation, neither too watery nor too sticky. I used it for three consecutive evenings on skin that only had sunscreen applied, and it removed everything effectively. As someone with blemish-prone skin, I was worried about using something oily, but it didn't cause any additional blemishes. I can definitely see that my blackheads on my nose have become less noticeable than before.
ConsSo far, I haven't experienced any major issues. The only thing is that it's a bit too runny, like water. I wish it had a slightly thicker consistency so it would be easier to control in my hand. Also, the pump feels a bit stiff. Maybe it's because of its flat, rectangular shape? Other products on the market with circular, straw-like pumps seem to work more smoothly. I think this product could benefit from some improvements in that area.

Having sensitive skin, I can't use peeling products for blackheads or dead skin cells, so I rely on cleansing oils to gently dissolve them. I once had a product that was great for dead skin cells and blackheads, but it contained an ingredient that irritated my eyes, even causing conjunctivitis! So now, I'm extremely cautious about eye irritation. Being my first time using this product, I was careful, and I'm happy to report that it passed the eye irritation test - no significant redness after cleansing! However, regarding its effectiveness on dead skin cells... While many reviews claim it's great for whiteheads too, I'm not entirely convinced. My usual product leaves my nose and chin area feeling smooth after cleansing, but this one fell a bit short in that aspect. One other thing to note is the scent - it's quite unique and might be a love-it-or-hate-it situation.
ConsI've mentioned a slight drawback in the positive section above, as skincare experiences can vary from person to person. However, an objective downside I noticed is that the product is too runny. When pumping it onto my face, about half of it was already dripping down my wrist. Even when applying it bit by bit, it still ends up running down to my wrists and elbows during the face massage. It's quite frustrating!

However, this product's formula isn't overly rich, making it perfect for frequent application! It's gentle on the skin yet effectively cleanses - talk about a powerhouse! It seems to work wonders for removing excess sebum too!
ConsThe consistency might be a bit too thin for some, potentially making it runny and slightly inconvenient to use
TipThe emulsification process is crucial when using cleansing oils. Make sure to rinse with warm water first, then gently massage in circular motions with your fingertips for the best results!

As someone with oily skin, excessive sebum production, and concerns about pores and texture, this cleansing oil has replaced my 10-year go-to product. Its thinner consistency allows for easy rolling and quickly dissolves blackheads and sebum. It's excellent at removing makeup and mineral sunscreen. The hydrophilic nature ensures it emulsifies well. Rinsing leaves no slippery residue or uncomfortable feeling, making the second cleanse refreshing. With consistent use, it's improved my skin texture by addressing sebum and dead skin cells. I hope it never gets discontinued - it's truly a holy grail! Highly recommended for those with similar skin types, it's outstanding for sebum removal.
ConsWhile the thin consistency allows for easy rolling, it can lead to wasteful use. It flows like water, requiring frequent re-pumping for a gentle massage. It's challenging to use sparingly, and you need a generous amount for effective sebum removal. This quick consumption might make it feel less cost-effective. I wish they'd offer a larger size at a good price point!
TipFor gentle yet effective removal of sebum and texture issues, use a generous amount for massage. Due to the nature of cleansing oils, it tends to run, so re-pump as needed during rolling. Don't forget the emulsification step! If you follow the method consistently, you'll notice your skin texture becoming smoother over time.

It's refreshingly cool with a lovely blend of herbal and cica notes. The texture is quite fluid, which can make it a bit runny, but it's excellent at removing impurities and all types of makeup. When applied to the face, if you wait about 10 seconds and then gently massage in circular motions, it's great at lifting out whiteheads and sebum from uneven skin texture. I use this as my first cleanse with oil, followed by a foam cleanser, and I've noticed fewer blemishes compared to when I skip the oil step. Though it's an extra step, I'm thrilled that it helps prevent breakouts.
ConsI didn't experience any blemishes. The only downside was that the texture is a bit too runny and tends to drip, but everything else about it was great.
TipThis product is perfect for those who wear heavy makeup regularly, need thorough cleansing, or struggle with blemishes and pimples due to ineffective makeup removal. I recommend using this oil as your first cleanse, followed by a foam cleanser. Even with a good foam cleanser, I used to wake up with new pimples or blemishes, but since incorporating this oil cleanse, I've seen a significant reduction in skin issues. While it may seem like an extra step, the combination of oil cleansing first, then foam cleansing, leaves your skin feeling immaculately clean and smooth. That's why I highly recommend this product.
