However, this one has an emulsion-like texture that doesn't drip when pumped onto the back of your hand, making it easy to apply! While it's not a lightweight moisturizer, I was worried it might feel heavy on hot summer days. Surprisingly, it doesn't just create an oily film on the surface. Instead, it absorbs quickly, and even after some time, it doesn't transfer much to your pillow! If you find thin moisturizers lacking but heavy creams too suffocating, I highly recommend this one! ✔️ Consistency Right after pumping, it feels quite thick and firm! But when you spread it on your face, it applies in a very thin, even layer, absorbing smoothly into the skin. ✔️ Scent It's so close to being unscented that you might wonder if there's any fragrance at all! Personally, I prefer fragrance-free products for my skincare routine since I layer multiple products. Even when applied as the final step after toner and serum, it's virtually scentless, making it suitable for everyone.
ConsWhile I didn't have any major issues using this product, if I had to point out one minor inconvenience, it would be the pump. Instead of dispensing product proportionally to how much you press, you need to push it all the way down to get a set amount, which can make controlling the quantity a bit tricky. For smaller areas like around the nose or chin, I recommend dispensing some onto the back of your hand first before applying.
TipI mainly used this for my nighttime skincare routine, but if you need a thick layer of hydration before applying makeup, try patting it on with a square-shaped makeup sponge. This method prevents pilling when you put on your makeup later!

Texture and feel - It has a texture between an emulsion and a cream, which absorbs well and feels great. I usually pat my skin for a long time to help products absorb, but with this one, it seems to absorb quickly? I liked that it finished absorbing with less patting, haha. Scent - As for the scent... I'm not very sensitive to fragrances, so unless it's a particularly strong scent, I don't really notice it, whether it's unscented or not. So I liked that I could use it without paying much attention to the fragrance.
ConsUm... I can't really think of any downsides, and it's not just because I'm one of the Hwahae Testers... I genuinely don't think there are any. If I absolutely had to pick something, maybe the subtle scent that comes with unscented products? But even that doesn't bother me much... Hmm... Maybe the fact that you can't see how much product is left in the container...? Honestly, I couldn't find any real issues with the quality of the product itself.
TipWhen my skin feels heavy or I have blemishes, I tend to reduce my skincare steps. In summer, I sometimes even skip toner and just apply an emulsion. On those days, using this product after a quick toner mask is just perfect.

Even when applied to the nose and forehead, it doesn't cause an oil overload. Application and absorption: Spreads very smoothly and absorbs well - not too quickly or superficially. Atopic dermatitis relief: Normally, I'd use prescription ointment for severe atopic flare-ups, but it had become ineffective due to tolerance. However, when I applied this cream thickly over the ointment, the itching stopped! This alone makes me completely satisfied.
ConsFor a hydrating cream, it's quite rich, so I wouldn't recommend it for extremely oily skin types.

The texture is a smooth gel that glides on effortlessly. Despite being made from potato extract, I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly it absorbs without leaving any residue, instantly hydrating my skin. There's a slight richness, but it doesn't feel greasy, which I appreciate. As someone with blemish-prone and sensitive skin, I'm very particular about my skincare products and only use gentle ones. This Jerusalem artichoke cream is made with naturally-derived ingredients, so I felt confident applying it regularly. It helped calm my skin and didn't cause any breakouts, which was great. It truly seems like a skin-friendly product. It also works well as a makeup base, allowing foundation to adhere smoothly without pilling or caking. I think it's particularly suitable for pregnant women and infants due to being fragrance-free and colorant-free. As it was my first time using an unscented product, I did notice a slightly unfamiliar scent. The cylindrical packaging design also seems to prioritize hygiene.
ConsI felt the hydration and lasting power were a bit lacking, so I found myself applying it frequently.

There's a bit of richness, but it feels moisturizing without any tightness and absorbs well into the skin! Consistency: It's not super lightweight, but just before being heavy? It's not overly oily, and strikes a nice balance - neither too heavy nor too light. Ingredients: Free from harmful substances, so it might be suitable even for babies. My skin is quite sensitive, but I've been using it without any notable side effects. It contains soothing ingredients, so I applied two layers after being out in the sun all day. Scent: It's close to fragrance-free, which is great for someone like me who's sensitive to scents.
ConsWhile the pump dispenser is hygienic and convenient to use, it's disappointing that I probably won't be able to use up every last drop towards the end.
TipThe soothing ingredients are great - I found it beneficial to apply on my arms and legs after a day of sun exposure. It's excellent when you need some calming relief!

I have thin, sensitive skin that's prone to allergic reactions! Application method: I applied this cream directly after using a hydrating serum, skipping toner. Texture & feel: It's a smooth cream that glides on easily! I thought it wouldn't absorb well, but suddenly it sinks in, leaving my skin feeling soft. This texture was new to me. Review: I love how clean the ingredients are! It's gentle enough to use on children too. As someone with allergic skin, I need to be careful, but this really calms my skin down! While it's not intensely moisturizing, it's sufficient for summer and doesn't leave my skin feeling dry. The best part is how it makes my skin feel soft and velvety. I use it whenever I have an allergic flare-up. Unlike other soothing ingredients like cica or houttuynia cordata, which don't help with allergy-induced blemishes, this cream calms them down quickly. Pros: 1. Great ingredients 2. Excellent for allergy-prone skin
ConsCons: 1. Might not be moisturizing enough for dry skin in winter
TipWhen you first use it, make sure to pump out a generous amount.

Seeing that this was safe for infants gave me peace of mind when applying it! While it's labeled as a hydrating cream, the texture wasn't quite what I expected. It felt more like an emulsion? It was fragrance-free when applied, and though it had a slightly rich feel compared to typical moisturizers, it absorbed well into my skin! My face tends to get red after cleansing, but this cream helped calm the redness! I also tried it before makeup, and it absorbed without leaving any residue, providing a good base for foundation.
ConsThe downside is that it might not be the ideal hydrating cream for those with oily skin. Also, while it helps with redness, it doesn't offer extraordinary soothing effects.
TipAfter using other creams focused on tea tree and soothing effects, this one wasn't quite right for nighttime use. Instead, I found it worked well in the morning before applying makeup! It created a nice base, allowing my foundation to go on smoothly.

Texture and Application: The emulsion has a nice balance of oil and moisture. It absorbs quickly into the skin upon application. I appreciated that it didn't leave any sticky residue. The texture is just right - not too heavy, not too light. Scent: It's fragrance-free, so there's no scent. Ingredients: Out of 30 total ingredients, it's free from concerning additives and is fragrance-free and colorant-free, which is excellent. I was intrigued by the unfamiliar ingredient 'Jerusalem artichoke root extract'. Apparently, it's effective for skin hydration, which stands out as a unique feature of this product.
ConsThe opaque packaging makes it difficult to see how much product is left, which is a bit disappointing.

It feels a bit richer than hydrating, but it absorbs well without leaving any sticky residue! After application, my skin feels truly comfortable. The pump design makes it hygienic for multiple users and convenient to carry around, so I've been taking it with me everywhere.
ConsFor me, it felt slightly lacking in hydration. For adults with dry skin, I recommend layering your skincare routine before applying this cream. (For children, this product alone should be sufficient!)

It's not only convenient to use but also more sanitary than dipping your fingers into a jar. Texture & Feel: While it's called a hydrating cream, it's more focused on moisturizing than I expected. It's like a hybrid between a hydrating and moisturizing cream, leaning more towards the moisturizing side. However, it absorbs well into the skin and doesn't feel sticky at all. I appreciate that it's a certified vegan product. Fragrance-free & Dye-free: Although I don't have children, it's a huge plus that both moms and kids can use this product together.
ConsWhen there's only a small amount left, the pump dispenser might make it difficult to use up the remaining product. The opaque container makes it hard to see how much product is left. But the many advantages of this cream make up for these minor issues.
TipThis isn't exactly a pro tip, but as someone who finds multi-step routines tedious, I've been using just my usual serum and this cream. It provides sufficient hydration even for my dry skin.
