  Pros

  I had high expectations for this sold-out item and gave it a try. The Mediheal Extra Super 9 Plus Aqua Lifting Wrapping Mask was quite satisfying for my sensitive, thin combination dehydrated skin. As soon as I applied the mask, I felt a refreshing cooling effect that helped soothe my skin. After removing the mask, my previously dry skin became noticeably more hydrated, and the Inner Glow effect really came to life. I was very pleased with how much better my makeup applied when I used this the night before an important event. I could also feel a slight tightening effect along my jawline and across my entire face, so I definitely experienced some of the lifting benefits.

  Cons

  Given how thin and sensitive my skin is, on days when my skin was particularly reactive, the tightening sensation during the drying process felt slightly irritating. It also takes about 20-30 minutes to dry completely, which can be a bit inconvenient when you're in a hurry. After removing the mask, there tends to be some residue left behind, so I always make sure to rinse lightly with lukewarm water and then follow up with a hydrating toner.

  Tip

  Personally, I recommend storing this in the refrigerator. It's great for calming heat in the skin and it amplifies the cooling effect, making it even more satisfying. Also, when applying the mask, I suggest using a brush to apply multiple thin layers. This reduces irritation during the drying process and makes it much easier to peel off cleanly later. On days when a full-face treatment feels like too much, I use it as a targeted treatment just on my jawline or nasolabial folds, which I find quite effective as well.

  Pros

  I tried the Cica Lab Wrapping Mask and liked it, so I decided to buy and try the Aqua Glow version too. It has a slightly cool aqua skin scent. While the Cica version had leaf-like particles, this one is a translucent sky blue. When applying, it feels a bit cooler than the Cica version, and I liked that my skin felt less tight as it dried. I bought it for 3000 won at Daiso, and each container has enough for 4 applications.

  Cons

  It sets really quickly... You need to squeeze it out and apply it swiftly right after opening. After use, it feels like there's an oily film covering the skin, making it look shiny. When removing, it sometimes leaves residue, and the remaining oiliness on the skin means you definitely need to cleanse afterwards, which is a bit of a hassle.

  Tip

  Applying plenty of skincare beforehand helps with absorption. Rather than using your hands, it's cleaner to apply with a slightly firm silicone brush or spatula.

  If you don't rinse thoroughly with water, especially around the forehead and eyebrows, residue can remain and stick to your hair. To avoid mask residue and ensure smooth makeup application, make sure to cleanse well with a small amount of water before applying cosmetics.

  I apply just a small amount on the forehead to avoid getting it in my hair. Personally, I don't think it's necessary to cover the entire face. I focus on applying it to my cheeks and nose area only.

  After leaving the mask on for about 20 minutes and removing it, my face is left with a gorgeous glow! It's a bit drying when used on bare skin without any other products. The ingredients are impressively clean. The texture is like a thick, light blue cream. Great value for money (only $3!).   The glow is no joke! Even without putting much effort into skincare before using the mask, the radiance was incredible and all dryness vanished. I'll definitely be using this often in winter. Surprisingly, there was no irritation when removing it, and the peel-off sensation was different from any other mask I've tried - it felt like peeling off a thin layer of oil-rich slime that had solidified. The scent is somewhat like grapefruit or orange, quite strong at first which was fine, but became a bit overwhelming over time.

  When peeling it off, essence got all over my hands which felt a bit messy, but everything else was great.

  Is it good value for money? Absolutely! Does it peel off easily? You bet! No skin tightness? None at all! Since it's used as the final step in skincare, there's no dryness, and thanks to the mask, it seems like the active ingredients are absorbed well without anything evaporating from the skin. After use, you get that coveted Inner Glow. It also improves dead skin cells and sebum, making the skin texture look noticeably better.
