I'm particularly meticulous about checking ingredients when choosing products. I'm a big fan of daily mask routines, using one at least every other day. I tend to gravitate towards soothing ingredients like tea tree, houttuynia cordata, and centella asiatica. I've been a long-time user of the Hanskin Houttuynia Cordata mask, which has always been satisfying and remains my top pick. But you know how it is - sometimes you just want to try something new, right? That's why I decided to give the highly-rated Mediheal Madecassoside mask a go, given its popularity and numerous positive reviews. The packaging is on the slimmer side, which is great for storing multiple packs in the fridge. It also helps keep the essence concentrated on the mask itself rather than spreading out. The mask shape is pretty standard, but it fits my features well - I have a broad forehead and a small nose. The eye, nose, and mouth holes align perfectly with my face. Some masks have awkwardly placed openings or a forehead area that's too short, but this one covers my face without any gaps. No need to redistribute essence to bare spots! The thickness is just right - it doesn't dry out quickly and feels soft against the skin without causing any irritation. I was a bit surprised by the strong scent at first. When I initially applied it, there was a powerful whiff of something like mugwort mixed with mint, or perhaps a flavonoid-like aroma. It's quite intense and might be polarizing, but it has a refreshing, herbal quality that I think most people would appreciate. It reminds me of cypress or fresh grass. The scent becomes less noticeable after about a minute, but if you're particularly sensitive to fragrances, I'd recommend trying a single sheet before buying in bulk. The "Trace Repair" claim on the packaging was part of what drew me in. Hydration, soothing, and blemish care all in one? I used this mask exclusively for about three days to test it out. Post-application, my face feels exceptionally moisturized for an extended period. It seems to have a real impact on evening out my complexion - my skin looks more uniform, with less redness and sallow tones, and has a lovely glow to it. There's also an abundance of essence in each packet. After applying the mask, you can squeeze out about a handful more. It's practically enough for a full-body treatment with just one sheet mask! Compared to my previous go-to mask, this one certainly holds its own, and I'm quite satisfied. I'll likely alternate between this and my usual brand going forward.
ConsAs someone who frequently uses sheet masks and prefers to buy in bulk, the price point is a bit of a sticking point. Unlike Hanskin, which often has sales, this one can be a bit pricey for a daily mask routine. When using this mask in the morning, it's crucial to pat the essence in thoroughly after removing the sheet. If you rush this step before applying makeup, you might experience some pilling. I learned this the hard way when I hastily put on cushion foundation without properly absorbing the essence - it balled up slightly, almost like dead skin cells.
TipDon't let the excess essence go to waste! I like to apply the leftover product to my elbows, knees, and heels. There's so much essence saturating the mask that you don't even need to squeeze extra onto your face while it's on.

Cons✦ Cons: It doesn't seem to have an instant calming effect on active blemishes ✦ When used with the Booster Pro, the mask tended to wrinkle and bunch up a bit
Tip✦ As many of you may know, storing it in the refrigerator can enhance the experience ✦ Using it with the Booster Pro improves absorption, but be aware that it might cause the mask to wrinkle slightly

But their Madeca line feels like they've put in extra effort! The amount of essence, hydration, and the glow you get the next day are a perfect trifecta! Plus, it's not sticky at all.
ConsMaybe because they use a vegan sheet, it's thinner than expected. When applying, there's so much essence that it can cause some pilling.
TipSince there's plenty of essence, make sure to apply the leftover to areas that lack moisture, like your neck, heels, and elbows!

I categorize my masks into two types: rich, nourishing ones with a bit of stickiness, and soothing ones that leave a fresh, clean finish. This mask, however, surprised me. When I first opened it, the essence seemed rich and slightly sticky, but the finish was incredibly light and refreshing. I really enjoyed using it. -Blemish repair effect After using the mask 8 times, it was hard to notice a significant effect on blemishes. I think it might be better with more consistent use. However, I feel that covering the skin with a mask might allow for better absorption compared to a typical blemish serum. -Skin benefits I recommend As mentioned earlier, I loved how it provided nourishment while absorbing quickly and leaving a clean finish. Usually, when I use a rich mask in the evening for nutrition, the slow absorption can be bothersome, so I often end up using pads or a lighter mask instead. This product, however, combines both aspects, making me reach for it more often. Moreover, its soothing effect was more impressive than its blemish-fighting properties. When I applied this mask after working out in the evening with flushed skin, it immediately calmed the heat and redness. It also soothed my acne without causing any irritation. I think these are the overall strengths of this mask. -Scent It has a cica scent? Personally, I found it refreshingly pleasant.
ConsThe mask doesn't fit perfectly on the face and is slightly large, causing some areas to not adhere well. But!!!! I'm so satisfied with the mask's effects (though not so much for blemish repair as advertised, but the soothing effect is really great) that I plan to purchase it with my own money in the future.
TipIt feels even more refreshing and nice when stored in the refrigerator before use.
