AOU Matte Fossil Balm [07 Cozy Balm]

The color is a muted brown with a slight pinkish tint, appearing more like a 2-shade chestnut leaf than a chestnut. So when applied, it results in a pinkish-tinged gray-brown color. The formula is a soft, pudding-like blur lip tint that applies in a blurry manner. It seems to be somewhere between the Daisy Crème and Wake Me lip tints I own in terms of texture. The transfer is a bit more than the Wake Me, but since it has good adherence, some color remains on the lips even as it transfers. There is no detectable scent.

The inconvenience of carrying or using it is the same shortcoming as any other pod-type lipstick. And like the Puie Pudding Pot or Daisy Crème Souffle Pot, the price is on the expensive side. However, I purchased it because the muted feel it has is something I couldn't find in the brand I usually buy.

You can apply it even without meticulous lip care. ⭐️ As someone who needs a lip liner, I was very satisfied that I could achieve a natural-looking overlip even without one. Since I tend to carry only the bare essentials when going out, I think I can just bring a mirror and a lip balm. It applies beautifully with just my fingertips. ⭐️ The lasting power is great. Even when I blot with a tissue, there's still some transfer, but when I check the mirror, my lips still look the same. I can really feel the good adhesion. ⭐️ This is the first time I've wanted to buy other shades just based on the formula.

I applied a different lipstick to give my lips a lively look, but it immediately caused flaking because I chose a color too similar to my natural lip color. Matte lipsticks don't seem suitable for layering.

It seems you need to control the amount well when applying it to the face. It's a bit too thick to apply on the cheeks.
