I always carefully check the ingredients, and this one has very gentle ingredients and is fragrance-free (which is super important). I'm really enjoying using it! I've been using it for almost two weeks, and I'm truly satisfied! It's said to help with redness, and I feel like it's made a significant improvement. My sensitive skin tends to break out easily, and blemishes often leave marks, making my cheeks red in various spots. I decided to give this a try, and it's amazingly effective at calming my skin - I'm really impressed! I applied it as the last step in my skincare routine, focusing on the red areas. It goes on very smoothly with a silky feel. It's nice to apply it as if you're creating a protective layer on your skin. While its absorption isn't exceptional, it doesn't just sit on top of the skin either.
ConsTo be completely honest, if I had to point out one drawback, it's that it leaves a slightly oily residue after application. It's not overwhelmingly greasy, but it makes your palms a bit shiny after applying. Your face might feel a tad slippery too. It doesn't absorb completely, so if you dislike any surface oiliness, I wouldn't strongly recommend it. With summer approaching, this aspect is a bit concerning! (However, it doesn't cause makeup to pill or anything like that!) I'd highly recommend this to those with dry skin!
TipIt might be best to use small amounts during summer! I genuinely believe this is a great product and wholeheartedly recommend it.

Oily T-zone. Combination U-zone. Not particularly sensitive to cosmetics, but prone to whiteheads and pimples before and after menstruation. Generally dry skin on the body. Prone to back acne. I received The Reese Ricoteca Soothing Moisturizer on the evening of February 19, 2025. I used the product from the morning of February 20 to the morning of February 28. I applied it every morning and evening after using toner and ampoule. Positive Points * Texture/Application - The texture is thinner than a cream but slightly thicker than an emulsion. The texture itself feels like a very soft cream! It's like they've taken the best aspects of both an emulsion and a moisturizer, if that makes sense. * Scent - You can consider it fragrance-free. There's a very slight scent from the cosmetic ingredients themselves, but it's not noticeable as a fragrance! It's great for those sensitive to fragrances. * Application - Although it's a cream, it's not too thick, so it spreads smoothly and evenly on the skin! It feels incredibly soft.
ConsDrawbacks * Absorption - My skin is naturally very oily, so I have a lot of sebum. Therefore, I don't really prefer products with high oil content, and this Ricoteca Soothing Moisturizer seems to have quite a bit of oil in addition to hydration. After applying, my face feels too slippery, and it seems like the oil is sitting on top of my skin... It made my skin look too shiny.. However, it didn't cause any blemishes.
TipPro Tip - The Ricoteca Soothing Moisturizer seems more suitable for normal skin rather than dry or oily skin! For those with dry skin, try layering the Ricoteca Soothing Moisturizer multiple times or add more hydrating products! For those with oily skin, this product might be too heavy for summer use. It would be better suited for winter.

When I first used this cream as I normally would, I was surprised by how it seemed to sit on top of my skin. I don't like sticky products that leave residue, so initially, it felt uncomfortable and itchy around my chin. However, from the next day, I adjusted the amount, and it gradually felt more suitable. There were no signs of blemishes or incompatibility. Especially when applying an appropriate amount before bed, I noticed my skin texture looked more refined in the morning. While other moisturizers also work well for me, this one doesn't have enough merit for me to purchase it with my own money, so I'll likely use up the provided product. It seems to create a moisture-locking barrier on the skin. Although the cream's texture feels fully absorbed, there's a lingering slip that I couldn't get used to at first. I'd recommend applying a thin layer all over and then an extra thin layer on typically dry areas. Wrinkle improvement: The skin appears more refined and firmer, so consistent use should definitely show improvements. Scent: Due to having a cold, I couldn't smell much, but it seems to have little to no fragrance. Overall: While those with very oily skin might find it uncomfortable, I think it could work well for oily skin types if applied in thin layers. It seems more suitable and effective when used at night rather than in the morning.
ConsThe lingering slip even after full absorption might be uncomfortable for those who dislike that feeling. However, it's something you can get used to with continued use.
TipIn the morning, after completing your skincare routine, apply a thin layer to potentially dry areas to prevent the skin from becoming flaky in cold wind. At night, first dispense the cream onto the back of your hand, apply a thin layer all over, then add another thin layer to dry areas (for me, these were the tip of my nose, chin, and around the eyes). There's a brief slip, but it disappears over time, making it pleasant to use once you've adapted to it.

It absorbs well and has a nice texture when applied.
ConsIt feels a bit slippery, so you shouldn't use too much at once.

Despite my sensitive skin, no blemishes appeared - it's great! The rich texture becomes more comfortable over time. It doesn't feel sticky at all.
Cons- Packaging: The wide opening can cause product to spill out quickly, so be careful when squeezing. - Initial impression: At first, it felt too rich for a moisturizer, making my face feel uncomfortably slick. However, by the third use, I had gotten used to it and found it more agreeable.
TipI found that applying a thin layer of Cetaphil lotion first reduced the slippery feeling. Unless you have extremely oily skin, the rich texture can actually help with hydration, so you might want to gradually increase the amount you use.

It's incredibly soft and absorbs quickly into the skin. When you wake up the next morning, your skin feels so comfortable.
ConsAs someone with combination dehydrated skin, I found it a bit too rich for my liking. Even when I applied it sparingly, it felt a bit slippery and left me feeling slightly uncomfortable. This could be due to my skin type being prone to excess oil.
TipBecause it's quite rich, be careful not to apply too much. It's best to apply a moderate amount and then add a little extra to any particularly dry areas.

I was pleasantly surprised by how lightweight and moisturizing the cream was, despite being a cream formula. What's more, I noticed it brightened my skin upon application, and it turns out it's actually a brightening moisturizer!
ConsI have combination dehydrated skin! While it feels really moisturizing when applied, the final finish is very greasy and slippery. As someone who prefers a fresh, matte finish, this product really didn't suit me. Because of this, I even felt like it was sitting on top of my skin rather than absorbing.

Creates a dewy skin look. Suitable for both morning and night use, but I find it especially perfect for post-morning cleanse. Makeup booster: I believe the final moisturizer step is crucial before heading out! You might think this has a bit of richness, but it acts like a makeup booster - fantastic. Didn't notice any makeup breakdown over time. Great for achieving that dewy look. My skin naturally has a glow, but this takes it to the next level! Hydrating: In winter, everything seems to dry out my skin due to the harsh environment. This cream, filled with hyaluronic acid and squalane, truly gives that plumped-from-within feeling! Tube packaging: Many moisturizers come in jars, requiring fingers or spatulas to scoop out. No matter how clean your hands or how well you maintain your spatula, it always feels a bit unsanitary. The tube format reduces this concern and is travel-friendly too. Dewy skin: The glow is unreal... it's the epitome of dewy skin. You might think I'm exaggerating, but when you look in the mirror, you'll be amazed at how incredible your skin looks. As mentioned, my skin naturally has a glow even when it's not at its best, but this cream takes it to a whole new level of radiance.
ConsRichness? While it's not sticky, it feels quite rich when applied - a bit slippery? Interestingly, I don't feel this slipperiness when washing my face in the morning after applying it at night, and it doesn't cause any pilling under makeup. It's a bit perplexing.
TipA must-try before applying makeup!

The texture is lightweight and feels fluid when applied to the back of my hand. It absorbs well into the skin without pilling or leaving residue. I can feel the hydration, but I think it's best suited for winter use only.
ConsThere's a famous moisturizer with squalane, and I happened to be using a product from another brand. Having tried both, I can say that when applied to the back of the hand, the Ricoteca moisturizer feels thinner, spreads more, and has a more fluid consistency. It goes on light initially, but finishes with a somewhat sticky feeling. I might find this sensation a bit unfamiliar, but it may take some time to get used to it. You might want to wait a bit before applying makeup over it.

I liked how it seemed to even out my complexion and refine my skin texture after application.
ConsThe product's texture feels a bit slippery. It's the kind of formula that might cause pilling or make your makeup slide if applied before foundation. So I avoided using it under makeup.
TipIt felt a bit dry when used alone, so I layered it on top of my regular moisturizer for better hydration.
