Age Twenty's is known for their cream-balm type foundations, and this one doesn't disappoint. The color is a typical 21 shade with less yellow undertones, leaning more towards an ivory hue. It does a good job covering redness and gives a clean, radiant complexion that I really like. Although it's a solid-type pact, it's closer to semi-matte~matte than moisturizing, applying with a soft, powdery feel. If you have some glow left from your skincare routine, it tends to maintain that glow. Due to its powdery application, it can emphasize dry patches or areas with dead skin cells, so it applies most smoothly when your skin is in good condition. Since it's not a cushion type, you need to swipe the puff across the surface to pick up product, then initially press it into the skin for coverage, finishing with a patting motion. When applying around the nose and pores, using too much product can make it look a bit cakey, but if you control the amount and apply thinly, this effect is minimized. *If you notice any pilling or caking when spreading, switch to the clean side of the puff, gently wipe off excess, and pat a few more times to get a thin, even application (so controlling the amount is crucial!). Right after application, if you scratch with your nail or test with a tissue, it does come off easily. However, after about 30 minutes, it sets nicely, and even without powder, there's minimal transfer, which I love. The staying power is really impressive - I applied in the morning, and by evening, my complexion was almost unchanged with no noticeable darkening.
ConsThe inside of the pact cover is designed as a palette to help control the amount of product and spread it evenly on the puff, but it's not as useful as expected. It's actually more convenient to just apply it to the back of your hand and then to the puff. Controlling the amount of product is essential, and it's important to get your base skincare just right - not too moisturizing, but not lacking either.
