+Perfect for brown tone beginners As I've gotten older, I prefer more subdued lips over vibrant ones. Sometimes when I apply lipstick, my makeup can look a bit dated or overdone. Why didn't I think of trying brown tones sooner? It's the perfect way to tone down my look. This feels like an ideal starter for those new to brown lipsticks like myself. It's not overwhelming at all. I bought it on sale, and now I wish I had picked up other shades too! +Smooth application It glides on so smoothly. The texture is silky, and it adheres naturally to the lips. If you use lip balm and take care of your lips, there's hardly any emphasis on dead skin cells. I apply it after lip balm, and after a while, the shine diminishes, leaving a matte finish. It has a sort of 'hugging' effect on the lips, if that makes sense! +Great for smudging Despite 'matte' being in the name, when I first received it, the texture felt different from what I expected. As mentioned above, its softness makes it perfect for creating a smudged lip look. -Dryness While it's not dry initially, it does become dry over time. I've noticed this is especially inconvenient when touching up matte lipsticks. Let's make sure to take good care of our lips when using this! Lately, I've been using Bebe Amonde as a base and layering Rom&nd Ladwood on top. Bebe Amonde is really useful for toning down the color a bit.
