The photos show the inside and outside of the mask after wearing it for 40 minutes. I mixed it with regular water to create the modeling mask. I think the pictures speak for themselves, don't you agree? The price might seem high at first glance, but it's actually quite reasonable. Modeling masks in the $10-20 range typically use diatomaceous earth as the main ingredient, which starts drying after 15 minutes. Once you see it drying on the outside, it's also drying on the inside, so leaving it on for 20 minutes actually starts to dehydrate your skin. That's why you should remove it after 10 minutes. The longer you leave it on, the more it can harm your skin. To make a somewhat elastic modeling mask with the cheaper options, you'd need to use toner instead of water or mix in lots of ampoule with the water. While it feels bouncy and firm when you apply it, it dries at the same rate, so you still need to remove it within 15 minutes max. Even $30-40 products generally use diatomaceous earth as the main ingredient, just a slightly higher grade (more finely ground). You still need to remove these after 10-15 minutes. The masks used in high-end salons cost about $70-100 for 700-800g and are characterized by not drying out even after 20 minutes. Previously, these types of modeling masks weren't sold to the general public and were only available to estheticians, making them quite difficult to purchase without connections. I've tried all of Purcell's products and pre-ordered this one before its release. I expected it to be just another drying modeling mask (diatomaceous earth) with some probiotics added, but I was shocked to find it was like the non-drying masks used in high-end salons. The first time I used it, I planned to remove it after 15 minutes, but when I started to peel it off, I noticed the inside was still very moist with beads of water. So I left it on for another 5 minutes - still super hydrated! Yesterday, I experimented by leaving it on for 40 minutes. While it had less moisture than if I'd removed it at 15 minutes, it was still remarkably hydrated. It might dry out if left overnight, but if you want to lock in the benefits of your ampoules and serums for longer, give this product a try. While it might seem expensive to the average consumer, this price is actually appropriate for a modeling mask of this quality. In fact, given that it's not just about hydration but offers more functionality, it could justifiably be priced even higher. (For context: 800g for $70-80 > 270g for $35) Moreover, it's from the trusted brand Purcell. If you're not familiar with high-end esthetic brands but want to experience a modeling mask like those used in luxury spas, I absolutely recommend this product. This might be the most accessible high-quality modeling mask for the general public. Since the modeling mask doesn't absorb the moisture but keeps it entirely on the skin surface, try using it with a booster powder that doubles the potency of the original solution, especially when recovering after a skin treatment. - sm*****Oily SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 16, 2025
You can really see the difference between the areas where you've applied the mask and where you haven't. It leaves your skin feeling firm and supple right after use. As expected, the application method is... inconvenient, but I guess that can't be helped. At least it didn't cause any blemishes.
