To be honest, I've always had this image of Wake Make palettes being full of similar, copy-pasted colors, so I wasn't a fan. But on a whim, I popped into an Olive Young store and fell in love with the sage shade in the 21 palette. That's what sold me! Despite being marketed as a cool-toned palette, the color range and pigmentation made me feel like I could use it for warm, cool, and even neutral looks. I tend to experiment with colors I like regardless of undertone, so I actually appreciate that it's not skewed in any particular direction. With the current trend of adding a pop of color to the inner corners, I wish they had included one more intense glitter shade. The Morning Dew and Aurora shades don't seem to stand out much and get overshadowed by the base colors, so I don't reach for them often. However, I'm absolutely in love with the Mauve, Fig, and Antique Brown shades. They might seem common, but they apply smoothly with vibrant color payoff, which I'm really satisfied with!
ConsI tried using the Rose Balm as a blush, but the color turned out looking a bit dated. I think if they focused more on the glitter quality rather than the balm texture, it could really elevate the product. That being said, considering the price point, this Wake Make palette still offers great value. I'll wrap up my review here. Thanks for reading!
