The scent is a rather unisex rose fragrance. It's separated into oil and water layers, which you mix by shaking before use. I'm pleasantly surprised by how long-lasting the scent is, and it leaves my hair feeling calm and smooth. I love that the bottle is transparent, making it easy to see how much product is left. It's a bit inconvenient that the spray doesn't dispense much product at once, so you need to spritz several times for full coverage.
