The thick texture was perfect for my extremely dry skin. It provided excellent hydration. The finish doesn't fully absorb into the skin, which might be a bit heavy for those with very oily complexions. This cream has a rich consistency that works hard to combat deep dryness. While it's a blessing for those battling dehydration, it may not be the best choice if you have combination dehydrated skin or are prone to blemishes. The formula leaves a slight residue, which contributes to its moisturizing power but might not suit everyone's preferences. - to****Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMay 11, 2025
I'm thrilled they've come out with a larger size. The lightweight formula absorbs well into the skin. While it seems to absorb nicely, I can't say I've noticed any significant improvement in deep dryness, unfortunately. - ro*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 6, 2025
I have combination and slightly sensitive skin. This is the basic serum from J.na, a brand I really trust. I'm currently on my 4th bottle. It's fragrance-free with a slightly viscous texture. While younger oily skin types might find it a bit heavy, it should work well for most other skin types. I haven't experienced any blemishes, and my skin feels comfortable. Personally, as I'm getting older, I apply it twice after toner and finish with a cream. While the overall quality of Layer Lab products is excellent, they do come with a higher price tag. Although they can't be considered expensive compared to high-end cosmetics, they're on the pricier side among products we can easily purchase online. It's best to keep an eye out for launches or sales when buying. For better results, apply this product after using a toner or lightweight serum, or after applying a functional serum. - ss******Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 4, 2025
It absorbs really well, and when used before retinol, your skin feels amazing the next day! I can't think of any downsides. The ingredients are gentle, and I'd definitely recommend it. - ki*******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 26, 2025
It absorbs slowly but tackles deep dryness effectively. I've repurchased it. It's challenging to apply in the morning, so I use just a tiny amount. However, it's the best I've found for combating deep dryness. - iy*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 25, 2025
I've been using this for about 3 months, morning and evening, and after just a week, my skin texture improves! I was initially concerned about the glow, but then I learned it's supposed to form a protective barrier. Aha, so that's a good thing! I'm still using it!! I've tried everything from toner layering to various other methods, but this works so much better. My skin used to get red and itchy, but since using this, those issues have disappeared. I'm loving it! It's all great except for the fact that the container opening gets a bit messy! When applied morning and evening along with a cream, it seems to gradually improve the skin barrier - vl****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinApr 23, 2025
To be honest, there's not much positive to say about this product. It's quite disappointing. I'm the type of person who would apply anything, even mud, if it worked. I don't care about smell or texture - I just want clear results. I bought this for its soothing and barrier-strengthening properties, but it had absolutely no effect, so I'm giving it one star. It also didn't improve whitening or elasticity. On sensitive days, the formula even felt like it was causing a burning sensation. - aa******Combination SkinSensitive SkinApr 22, 2025
If it provides good hydration and suits your skin, it seems like a gentle product you could use comfortably. I didn't experience any significant irritation. I have combination dehydrated skin, but this serum felt excessively rich, so I didn't reach for it often. It didn't even help strengthen my skin barrier. When I used my usual amount, my skin would become red and blotchy, and blemishes would appear. I barely managed to finish the bottle by using a small amount before my moisturizer or applying it liberally on my neck. They claim it's suitable for all skin types, but it seems more appropriate for dry skin. I absolutely wouldn't recommend this to those with oily skin or anyone who dislikes an overly rich feeling. - wa********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsApr 18, 2025
I'm such a big fan of Jeina that I ordered two cleansing foams and have been using them well. Unfortunately, this product just didn't seem to agree with my skin. The absorption was really good. However, after applying all the cream, I felt a slight warmth on my face, and when I looked in the mirror, I noticed some redness had appeared. I thought I might get used to it, so I waited for a while, but the heat on my face persisted, forcing me to wash it off. The disappointing part is that I wish they had provided samples first so I could have tried it out before purchasing. - sh******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 17, 2025
It's soft, supple, and deeply moisturizing. You can apply it generously even after cosmetic procedures without any worries. The thick texture is both a pro and a con... You might need to be careful with the amount you use for morning makeup.
