With powder, I often couldn't tell if I'd applied it correctly, leading to over-application. When I'd go outside in natural light, the shading would look too dark and unnatural. With this, you just draw on the areas you want and blend - it's so simple. Though, I suppose that's more a benefit of stick shading in general. What's great about this specific product is how smoothly it applies and how well it blends. You don't even need a puff or brush; it works well with just your fingers. It shows up nicely, so even those with slightly darker complexions should be able to use this shade. If you have a darker skin tone, I'd recommend the warm shade over the cool one, as the cool is lighter. The thick size makes it perfect for contouring the jawline.
ConsIt has a rich, moisturizing texture, but I'm not sure shading products need to be moisturizing. Given its thickness, you're more likely to use it on your jawline rather than your nose, and I don't like how it makes my jaw area look shiny and causes oil to surface faster. I don't think it's flattering when the outer parts of your face look shiny, so the fact that it's a moisturizing stick shading product doesn't appeal to me. I wish they had a non-velvet stick shading option - I would have bought that instead.
