I remember trying this product on a friend's recommendation. As I write this review, I've been using it for about two months. I don't use it daily, but rather when I feel my skin needs a boost. When my skin feels particularly lackluster or dull, I apply it all over my face. I also use it along my cheeks and jawline when using a gua sha tool, and on my neck for wrinkle prevention. I use it selectively like this every 3-4 days. Although it contains hyaluronic acid, the texture feels more rich than hydrating to me. As someone who dislikes heavy, sticky products and generally avoids most creams (except for hydrating ones), this is one of the few creams I consistently use. When applied right after cleansing, showering, or bathing, it absorbs quickly without feeling suffocating, leaving the skin feeling soft and supple. I love how it instantly improves my skin's elasticity and gives a nourished feeling on the day of use. I'm really enjoying this product. Setting aside personal preferences about the texture, the only downside might be the price point. However, you can always purchase it during sales. For those who, like me, dislike the heavy feeling of rich textures, I recommend applying this immediately after washing your face, showering, or bathing. - jk***Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 16, 2025
It applies with a creamy texture, and when I wake up in the morning, my skin feels nourished and replenished - I'm so satisfied! I've been recommending it to my friends and family. As the weather gets warmer, those who dislike products with a rich feel might want to pass on this one. For best results, apply a thin layer and gently pat it into your skin to help it absorb well! - ha*****Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 27, 2025
Among products containing collagen, this one's for anti-aging! If you're interested in that, pay attention to Avène creams! This cream is packed with firmness and hydration, making your skin feel plump and tight! I went back and forth to Olive Young a couple times, debating whether to buy it or not... but I kept thinking about it, so I just went for it! As far as anti-aging creams go, this one's moisturizing, contains thermal spring water, and the scent isn't overpowering, so it's pretty good. Anyway, it seems gentle on the skin, so I think I'll use it well in the summer! Be careful if you're allergic to thermal spring water! This product is based on it. As summer gets hotter and stickier, and the weather becomes more like Southeast Asia, it's so frustrating! At least our creams should apply lightly and keep us moisturized... Anyway, I recommend this! Instead of something heavy and suffocating, it's light and hydrating with added benefits, plus it's a French dermocosmetic! Above all, the scent isn't strong, so it was easy to use. I bought it with confidence because it's ranked number one for anti-aging. - kg********Dry SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMay 25, 2025
Moisturizing with just a small amount The container seemed small compared to the bottle, so I thought I'd use it up quickly... But a little goes a long way, and it absorbs well enough to cover my entire face! The hydration lasts for a long time, so I've been using it as a substitute for my night cream. Strong scent and some pilling Having used fragrance-free basic products for a long time, I found the artificial scent of the Avène cream quite strong. It's not an unpleasant smell, more like the typical scent you'd find in cosmetics. The cream has a rich texture, which can lead to some pilling. It's fine when used as a night cream, but keep this in mind! - go******Combination SkinAcne SkinApr 29, 2025
The only positive thing I can say is that it has a nice scent... There's really nothing else good about it for me. It just doesn't suit my skin at all. While it spreads easily at first, it pills terribly. It keeps flaking off like dead skin cells. Also, even though I have combination dehydrated skin, it leaves my skin feeling extremely dry deep down. - sk*********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessRecommendedApr 11, 2025
As a woman in her 30s with super sensitive skin who usually uses the largest size of Avène mist, I occasionally deal with blemishes. This cream isn't as light as a soothing cream, but rather a slightly heavier type. Being a firming product, it doesn't leave a matte finish, but has a slight stickiness. The heavy glass case feels luxurious, and the inner container is separable, making disposal easy. After using it consistently for two weeks, I feel like my skin might be getting a bit plumper? The product is generally gentle, so it worked well even for my acne-prone skin. The price is undeniably steep... Also, there's an aloe-like scent that reminds me of my mother's cosmetics, which might be hit or miss for some people. While it's excellent for evening use, be careful when applying it in the morning as it may cause pilling under makeup! - du********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 14, 2025
It's great for oily skin as it's not too rich but provides plenty of hydration While I had no issues with how it felt, I think it would have been even better if it were fragrance-free - 26******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRecommendedJan 10, 2025
The ingredients seem good and it feels like a safe choice. There used to be some really great Avène creams in the past, but it's such a shame that many of them have been discontinued... This cream isn't exactly a perfect 10 out of 10, but it's decent enough. I'm planning to use it a bit more to see how it goes. There is some pilling, which is why I've decided to use it only at night before bed. I'm experimenting with different combinations of my skincare products to find a way to minimize the pilling. - na****Combination SkinSensitive SkinWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 22, 2024
Avène, a brand I trust, is my first venture into anti-aging products. With super sensitive skin, I've mostly avoided functional skincare, sticking to basic soothing and hydrating products. I've been using their Pink Toner for 7 years and always relied on just one Avène cream for my routine. Now, feeling it's time to try anti-aging, I gave this a shot. My complexion definitely feels firmer. Before, I was worried about increasing wrinkles, but now it seems to have improved. However, possibly due to my sensitive skin, I sometimes experience a slight tingling sensation after application. Also, when I apply sunscreen over it, it tends to pill. While I'm not sure if it's because of the cream, I occasionally notice small blemishes appearing. But considering how my skin usually reacts to functional skincare, I wonder if this level of reaction is actually quite acceptable.
