  Pros

  With the changing seasons lately, my skin was suffering from deep dryness. Usually, when I use rich products, I end up with blemishes and my skin goes haywire without addressing the dryness. I've been constantly hydrating my skin, and adding the Avène serum in between steps has definitely provided a substantial layer of moisture. It seems to envelop my skin, noticeably boosting hydration. Since I have combination dehydrated skin and I'm already applying lots of hydration in the previous steps, I only use a small amount of serum. But it definitely increases the moisturizing effect!

  Cons

  There's nothing I dislike about it. The texture might be a matter of personal preference (it's slightly runny), but that can be managed by adjusting the amount you use.

  Tip

  As someone with large pores and combination skin prone to blemishes, I always make sure to gently wipe my face with a pad in the first step, using very light pressure. Then I apply my skincare. No matter how good a product is, if your skin isn't prepared to absorb it, it'll just mix with dead skin cells and sebum, leading to breakouts.
