When I first heard the name 'Base Prep', I naturally thought it was a makeup base, expecting a slight brightening effect like the sunscreens I've used before. But when I actually received it, it was closer to a moisturizing primer. I was confident this would pair well with a high-coverage foundation! In the dead of winter, when thick skincare and heavy makeup usually pills, I applied foundation with a brush. The feeling is definitely bouncy!! I'd say 'bounce' is the keyword for this product. It made my dry skin grip the foundation beautifully, ensuring long-lasting wear. Even foundations that used to turn ashy and crack over time stayed looking pretty. I had an 'aha!' moment - this is perfect for full glam days! While you might not notice much difference with your usual dewy cushions or sheer makeup products, I highly recommend this as a base for high-coverage foundations. You can achieve that coveted mochi skin even in the depths of winter!
ConsI expected it to be a makeup base, so I was hoping for some brightening effect, which it doesn't have at all. But that's just my personal disappointment since it's a different type of base product.
TipTry it with high-coverage foundations!! Not necessary for dewy cushions.

Unlike other bases, this has a rich, serum-like texture that's wonderfully hydrating. If you have dry skin like me, you'll likely be pleased with how it absorbs and its moisturizing feel. It also gives a subtle Inner Glow effect.
ConsSince this base is a transparent type, don't expect it to even skin tone. If you're looking for some coverage or complexion enhancement, this might not be the right product for you.

Thankfully, no blemishes appeared with this one. It's more of a tacky primer than a powdery one. I apply it in the order of sunscreen, prep, then brightening moisturizer, and it helps other slightly matte products adhere better. After applying the prep, I recommend patting it in and letting it absorb before applying cushion foundation or liquid foundation. When the cold wind hits, everything tends to separate, but with this, the adherence was quite good.
ConsIf you apply this prep over heavy skincare, it will pill! In winter, you should apply the prep when your skin is slightly dry to prevent pilling later. It doesn't have any tone-evening or correcting functions. They claimed it had a dewy effect, but I'm not really sure about that. I get a good dewy effect with the Hince Radiance Balm instead.
TipTry applying it by gently circling around your pores, as if you're filling them in! It's different from just quickly swiping it on.

I trusted S Nature's reputation and was thrilled to be selected! It was perfect timing as I'd been wanting to try a new primer. The Make Prep comes in a sleek container similar to other primers, reminiscent of Etude House's design. I appreciate its clean look and the hygienic cap that protects the nozzle. What really matters is the effect, and I was pleasantly surprised by its rich texture. It strikes a balance between lightweight primers and oily makeup bases, feeling more hydrating than greasy. It has a bouncy serum-like consistency that seems to wrap the skin in a hydro-lipid film, helping base makeup adhere well. The longevity is impressive too - I didn't even need to touch up in the afternoon! My main concern was excess oil as I have oily skin, but it doesn't seem to increase sebum production much. Though this could be due to the winter weather.
ConsIt's worth noting that this product doesn't offer any brightening or color-correcting effects like some makeup bases do. It functions purely as a primer, enhancing skin texture and makeup adhesion. The price point is also a consideration. While the retail price is unknown, based on the suggested price, I'm unsure about repurchasing. It's an improvement over my previous products, but I'm not convinced about its value for money.
