I'm writing this review in hopes that this product never gets discontinued. It's an extremely satisfying cleansing gel. With low oil content, it leaves almost no residue even with just water cleansing, meeting all the criteria for a cleansing gel with above-average cleansing effectiveness. As a first-step cleanser: Cleansing oil/balm: Even with good emulsification, I still get a couple of blemishes here and there. Cleansing gel: Nice and light, but slightly disappointing in cleansing power. Cleansing water: Surprisingly good cleansing power, but continuous use of cotton pads irritates my super sensitive skin (foam dispensers seem less effective while still causing sensitivity). That's why I've been searching for a first-step cleanser with low oil content and good cleansing power, which is surprisingly hard to find. (I've tried countless department store/drugstore/road shop brands, but even those with reviews praising their clean finish either felt too rich or had weak cleansing power by my standards.) The TONYMOLY Snail cleansing gel is an oil-gel type, so it's more effective than regular cleansing gels (you'll barely notice the oil content, so it feels like a regular cleansing gel). I first tried it about 10 years ago, loved it, and used over 10 bottles. (Being a skincare enthusiast always looking for alternatives), I tried various new products but kept coming back to this cleanser when I couldn't find anything better. I'm so glad it's still ongoing, and I hope it never gets discontinued. The price isn't burdensome, especially during sales, so I'd recommend giving it a try. I hope they market it more aggressively to prevent discontinuation. If I really, really had to pick something: I wish it had a bit more oil content. Despite being called an oil gel, it's closer to a cleansing gel. I'd prefer if it had a tiny bit more oil feel (I feel like it had more oil content 10 years ago, and a slight increase might improve the oil and moisture balance and boost its cleansing effectiveness).
