While I don't naturally have a ton of pores, this product does a decent job of filling them in. It's pretty good at evening out my skin tone and covering redness too. You could layer it for more coverage, but I prefer using just one layer to avoid it feeling too heavy. For the best application and to prevent dryness, I recommend prepping your skin with a hydrating skincare routine first. This gives it a semi-matte finish. I noticed it has a really high SPF, so you could probably skip sunscreen, but I still use my regular organic sunscreen underneath. Overall, the texture feels a bit thinner than the Slim Stick, but the difference in application isn't huge. It doesn't really cover blemishes or provide much other coverage. I've seen reviews mentioning darkening, but I didn't really notice that issue myself. When I tested it in-store, I found that the difference between shade 23 Beige and 21 Ivory wasn't very noticeable. If you have average skin but think you might be slightly on the fairer side, going with Ivory could be a good choice.
