While many low-pH cleansers don't lather well, this one foamed up beautifully. Despite wearing heavy makeup daily, I didn't experience any leftover residue or blemishes the next day. For my extremely dry skin, it was truly impressive how moisturizing it felt and how it didn't leave my skin feeling tight after cleansing.
ConsThe downside was that the product's texture was quite firm and difficult to squeeze out, making it challenging to use. Also, it was almost fragrance-free, which was a bit disappointing. Moreover, it didn't seem very effective in managing sebum and blackheads around my nose area.
TipI highly recommend thoroughly cleansing the nose area and surrounding regions with a cleansing oil to manage sebum before using this cleanser. Also, using a foam maker produces a much richer, creamier lather compared to just using your hands.

Skin Feel After cleansing, my skin definitely feels less tight. It has a noticeably moisturized feeling!
ConsCleansing Effectiveness It doesn't seem to remove sunscreen effectively, and I often feel like my skin isn't properly cleansed. It also doesn't do a good job of clearing away excess oil! Texture I'm not sure if it's because of the cold weather lately or if it's just the product's formulation, but the texture is too firm. It takes a long time to work up a lather, and the texture makes it difficult to apply smoothly.

I was immediately drawn to the Rovectin foam cleanser's packaging. They use soybean oil ink, which I really appreciate - sticking to their vegan identity even if it costs more. Kudos for that commitment to sustainability! Although I have dry skin, I struggle with enlarged pores in my T-zone and whiteheads on my nose. So I usually opt for cleansers that focus on sebum control. Naturally, this often leaves my skin feeling tight after washing. But with this cleanser, I noticed a slippery, smooth sensation while rinsing. Both my hands and face felt incredibly soft - I actually rewashed a few times thinking I hadn't rinsed properly! This product really lives up to its claims. It leaves my skin feeling genuinely hydrated and gentle. Yet it doesn't compromise on cleansing power. While I don't typically use waterproof products, I didn't notice any residue left behind. That said, it's not a miracle worker - my skin still feels a bit tight after cleansing, just more slowly and less intensely than usual. Of course, following up with a good skincare routine is always essential! Unlike in my 20s, I sometimes get small blemishes when trying new products. I had a couple of tiny spots when I started testing this, but they calmed down without any irritation by the next day. This speaks to how gentle the formula is. I highly recommend this for those with dry skin. It's possibly the most hydrating foam cleanser I've ever used!
ConsWhile not exactly a flaw, it doesn't remove sebum quite as effectively as my previous specialized cleanser.
TipI plan to use this Rovectin cleanser consistently for my morning routine! In the evenings, when I have more time for intensive skincare, I'll use my pore-focused cleanser to remove makeup. This truly lives up to its name as a 'daily cleanser'!

Personally, I'm not a fan of the fragrance. ✅ Texture It requires a bit more effort to squeeze out compared to other cleansing foams I've used. It's quite thick when dispensed, but I liked how it quickly lathers up when rubbed between hands. ✅ Review My routine is brushing teeth, face wash, shower, then shampoo. Usually, by the time I shampoo, my face feels tight and dry, so I've always had to splash some water on it. With this cleansing foam, I experienced less tightness and dryness, reducing the need for extra water splashes. (If I used to do it 3 times, now it's just once or twice.) The scent might be hit or miss for some people. I wasn't a fan. I appreciated that it didn't cause any blemishes or dead skin cells during use.
ConsI was disappointed that it didn't effectively remove excess sebum. Everything else was fine though.

It's perfect for morning cleansing! It might not be strong enough to remove heavy makeup, but it's ideal for a light cleanse. Rather than rich lather, it's more accurate to describe it as having a fine-textured foam. I liked that it lathers well even with a small amount!
ConsAs someone who believes a cleansing foam should excel at removing cosmetics, I find it slightly disappointing that it seems to leave some makeup residue. It doesn't appear to effectively absorb excess sebum, so it's probably best used only for light cleansing.

I was pleased to find that the Rovectin Better Balance Cleansing Foam is also low pH. The experience: It's gentle and non-irritating. Texture: It's rich and lathers well. Scent: I love that it's nearly fragrance-free with a subtle, pleasant soap scent.
ConsProbably due to its low pH, I didn't feel like it was removing dead skin cells or excess oil at all. It might be better suited for morning cleansing or as a second step after removing makeup.
TipYou can create even richer lather by using it with a foam maker.

However, I was pleased that the LOHB cleansing foam forms a rich, creamy lather even when worked up by hand. I typically keep a toner in the bathroom to immediately replenish moisture after cleansing, as I dislike the tight, dry feeling that quickly sets in. But with this cleanser, I was satisfied that my skin retained a hydrated feeling even without immediately applying toner.
ConsIt doesn't seem to be particularly effective at removing excess sebum, but I'm really stretching to find a drawback here. For those with oily skin, you might want to opt for a foam cleanser that's better at absorbing blackheads and sebum. However, for those seeking a hydrating foam cleanser, I don't think this would be considered a downside.
TipAs I tend to have oily skin, when using a hydrating foam like the LOHB cleansing foam, I've found a trick for the nose and chin areas. I squeeze some foam onto the textured side of a cotton pad, work it into a lather, then use it to cleanse those areas in a wiping motion. This helps remove some of the white sebum plugs.

Perhaps due to its low pH, it's less drying than other cleansing foams I've tried. The scent perfectly matches the package's vibe - it's fresh, cool, and clean. This light fragrance makes cleansing a pleasant experience. Effective cleansing is crucial to prevent leftover cosmetics from causing blemishes, and this foam seems to have pretty good cleansing effectiveness. It also produces a nice, soft, fluffy lather. However, it doesn't create those tiny, dense bubbles, so if you prefer a richer foam, you might want to use a foaming net.
ConsIt doesn't seem to be particularly effective at removing excess sebum. After cleansing, you can still feel some oiliness on the skin. For thorough sebum control, you might need to use it alongside a cleansing oil.
TipIt's gentle enough to use in the morning without irritating your skin. Feel free to include it in your morning skincare routine.
