I have extremely sensitive skin that gets completely out of whack during seasonal changes, with a severely compromised skin barrier. Usually, I'm most interested in and primarily purchase hydrating and soothing skincare products. Due to my sensitivity, I don't use many exfoliants or pads. I hope this review can be helpful for those with similar skin concerns.

As a hydrating ampoule, it has a light and refreshing texture. It feels quite fluid, similar to typical hydrating ampoules.

⚪ Application
As the seasons are changing, I've switched from moisturizing products to more hydrating ones in my skincare routine. The LOPO Better Balance Ampoule works well for this transitional period. When applied once, it leaves a light and fresh finish, but when layered multiple times, it creates a delightfully bouncy finish that I really love.

Being fragrance-free, it's suitable for all ages and genders. It's an excellent choice for those with fragrance allergies like myself.

Pro tip: Store it in the fridge and apply it in the morning to instantly cool down your skin and create a great base for makeup.

For those with dry skin, try layering it 2-3 times for all-day hydration without any tightness.

If you feel a blemish coming on, try applying a bit extra to that spot - it might help prevent the trouble from developing further.

For an extra boost of hydration at night, mix in a drop or two of facial oil - it works wonders!

For those with very dry skin, the hydration might not be quite enough. The moisturizing effect doesn't last all day on its own, so in fall or winter, I found I needed to layer a cream on top.

However, it's perfect for both oily and dry skin types during the summer months, as it's not too heavy.

While it's effective for soothing and hydrating the skin, it's a bit lacking when it comes to evening out skin tone.

As someone with dry skin, I prioritize hydration and gentleness when choosing an ampoule. The LOPO Better Balance Ampoule generally met my expectations quite well.

What I loved:
The standout feature was its hydrating yet refreshing texture. Being a light essence-type formula, it absorbs instantly without leaving any sticky residue. This makes it perfect for use before makeup in the morning, with no pilling issues.

Unlike very watery ampoules that can make deep dryness more noticeable, this one has a slightly mucus-like consistency that prevents deep dryness and leaves a clean finish.

I have atopic and sensitive skin, but experienced no irritation or subsequent blemishes.

In conclusion, it's a hydrating ampoule that works well for sensitive skin! I'm satisfied with the formula that has a balanced finish - neither too light nor too heavy.

When I first opened the bottle, I thought, "Hmm? No distinct scent, and it's just a thin consistency?" But once I applied it to my face, the feeling was quite nice.
Though it seems watery, it absorbs into the skin as if gliding off your fingertips,
and even layering it once or twice doesn't feel heavy at all.

To be honest, many skincare products I've been using lately only feel moisturizing on the surface,
leaving my skin still rough or tight underneath.
But with this one, after application, my skin feels like, "Ah, I've finally gotten some hydration!"
Perhaps this is the perfect product for weather like we're having now, with wind blowing and air conditioners running.

I wish the moisturizing effect lasted a bit longer. That's why I made sure to layer it multiple times when using it.

What I particularly loved was its non-sticky texture! It's perfect for summer use without feeling heavy, and it has a noticeable calming effect, making it safe to use even on super sensitive skin days. You can layer it multiple times without it feeling heavy, and its transparent, lightweight formula makes it very convenient to use during your skincare routine.

The hydration doesn't quite match up to its thick consistency. While it feels firm upon application, the lasting power falls short over time.

Texture & Application:
The consistency is slightly thick, but not overly so. When applied to the skin, it glides on slowly. To give you an idea, it's a bit more substantial than the famous To*e serum.

Surprisingly, it absorbs exceptionally well into the skin. Even after layering it twice, it doesn't feel heavy at all. Instead, it absorbs beautifully, leaving the skin feeling firm and hydrated without any stickiness.

Effectiveness:
Despite its rich texture, the moisturizing power and hydration longevity weren't as impressive as expected. Even though I have oily skin and the weather's been warm, I found that using this serum (layered twice) with Laneige Cream Skin Refiner and LOHB's ampoule in the evening wasn't quite enough. By morning, while not exactly dry, my skin felt slightly lacking in hydration. However, it provides adequate moisture for morning use, making it perfect for pairing with a light cream during this season.

It's unfortunate that the product caused such a negative reaction. While it provided some hydration, the severe irritation outweighs any benefits. If you have sensitive skin, it might be best to patch test or consult with a dermatologist before trying new skincare products.

To be honest, I'm not sure if I should write this, but after using this product, my skin completely broke out.

The only positive thing I can say is that my skin felt somewhat hydrated while using this product.

It's disappointing when a product that initially seems promising causes skin issues. If you have sensitive skin, it might be worth doing a patch test before fully incorporating new products into your routine.

Unfortunately, on the second day of use, I noticed blemishes appearing, so I had to stop using it.

The cream applies smoothly and absorbs well into the skin.
The fragrance-free formula was also quite pleasant.
