  Pros

  I tried both the foam and roll-on types of the Vive Lab hair loss ampoule that was all the rage on Instagram, endorsed by Hong Hyun-hee! My husband is terrified of hair loss, so he's been using these products diligently. I couldn't resist sneaking a try myself (sorry, hubby... don't look!). The Hair Scalp Enhancing Foam is perfect for covering larger areas. The Hair Scalp & Brow Ampoule roll-on is great for targeting specific spots. Both were super easy to use! With the foam, I applied it to my crown as shown in the photo. It quickly liquefies, so I tilted my head to distribute it evenly. It would be amazing to use with a scalp massager or gua sha tool! After application, there's this wonderful cooling effect on the scalp with a minty, pine-like scent. It's refreshing and invigorating - definitely not your typical 'dad' cologne smell! The roll-on ampoule is ideal for the parting and hairline. It doesn't run, making it perfect for those with sensitive skin or prone to blemishes. I loved using the foam after a hot bath when my scalp was warm - the cooling sensation was divine! It absorbed well without leaving any residue. It felt like giving myself a special treatment! My husband, who has fine hair that falls out easily, uses it consistently, so I think he's noticing positive effects on his hair roots. I really hope it helps protect my husband's precious hair!

  Cons

  To be completely honest, I didn't notice any dramatic increase in hair volume or filling in of thinning areas on my scalp. For me, it was more about the cooling sensation and feeling like I was taking care of my hair. Unfortunately, I developed some blemishes on my forehead and hairline after using it, so I had to stop after just a couple of secret applications.

  Tip

  As the foam dissipates and runs down the scalp, try your best to keep it away from your face! While results may vary, those with super sensitive skin like mine might experience breakouts if it comes into contact with facial skin.

  It applies gently to the scalp, absorbs well, and has a pleasant scent.

  Cons

  Since it's foam, it disappears quickly, and if you apply too much, it can cause blemishes.

  Pros

  It doesn't get cakey. Being a foam, it's convenient to use. The scent isn't bothersome either.

  Cons

  I bought this after watching Han Hye-jin's YouTube video, thinking it was the one she mentioned, but it wasn't. As I continued using it, I developed blemishes like acne, so I stopped. It causes irritation and a burning sensation.
