It claims to smooth out uneven skin texture, but I think it might be causing blemishes.
ConsIt's actually causing blemishes, and the fragrance feels artificial. I was considering using it consistently, but I find myself reluctant to reach for it.
TipNo additional comments.

The gel-like texture is smooth and pleasant.
ConsIt's advertised to eliminate small blemishes, but it's completely ineffective. The scent is overwhelmingly strong and unpleasant, which made it difficult to use. Far from being gentle, it's actually quite harsh and caused a breakout on my super sensitive skin.

Despite being a low pH cleanser, it lathers incredibly well and has good cleansing effectiveness! In the first cleanse, it removed most of my makeup except for mascara. While it doesn't remove everything perfectly, I recommend using it as a second cleanser after an oil or water-based cleanser for your first cleanse. I have combination dehydrated skin, and I didn't feel any tightness after washing. The non-slippery, clean feel was excellent! After use, my skin felt like the dead skin cells were refined, and my skin texture felt smoother and more supple compared to other foam cleansers. It's not irritating, so it seems great for daily dead skin cell care even for sensitive skin. I recommend it to those who struggle with excess sebum and dead skin cells! I also appreciated that it's a vegan brand.
ConsIf I had to mention a downside, it would be the high price... If it were just a bit cheaper, I would have repurchased it. Also, I didn't like the scent. To me, it smelled like dog shampoo, which I disliked. Additionally, I didn't see much effect on blemishes, so I find it difficult to recommend to those concerned about blemishes.
TipI found it even more effective for removing dead skin cells and sebum when used with a cleansing device.

After a week, the most satisfying aspect was its gentle exfoliation, despite being a low-pH cleansing gel with LHA. For those of us with sensitive skin, traditional exfoliation methods like cleansing oils, exfoliating toners, pads, or peeling gels can be too irritating. Previously, I used toners with AHA/BHA/PHA, but my skin reacted badly, leaving me with no options for dead skin cell removal. This gel cleanser, used only in the mornings, noticeably improved my skin texture day by day, which I found extremely satisfying. The cleanser also lathers exceptionally well. Just half a pump, without a foaming net, was enough for a thorough cleanse. Even after washing, my skin didn't feel tight for several minutes before applying other skincare products.
ConsWhile I'm not familiar with the scent of barley, the cleanser had a slightly off-putting detergent-like smell.
TipI highly recommend this as a morning cleanser for those with sensitive skin looking for a low-pH cleanser that gently exfoliates.

There's a slight cooling effect, and since it's mildly acidic, it leaves a moisturized feeling rather than a squeaky-clean one. Even after cleansing, my skin doesn't feel dry, and it stays quite hydrated even in the depths of winter. I was surprised by how effective it was at improving skin texture. About 5 days after I started using it, my colleagues at work commented that my skin looked brighter. While I can't say for certain it's solely due to this product, the LHA peeling ingredient seems to help with dead skin cell removal, giving my complexion a clearer appearance.
ConsI noticed that the app lists fragrance as an ingredient to be cautious about, which was a bit concerning. The product does have a grassy scent, but it's quite strong and artificial, which is somewhat disappointing.
TipThis product seems suitable for extremely dry combination dehydrated skin. I usually do a two-step cleanse with cleansing oil and foam, but I found that a cleansing oil + cleansing gel combination works well too. It doesn't strip away too much moisture, leaving the skin feeling hydrated - a great combination for winter skincare.

Cons- The scent might be polarizing. Personally, I find it too strong and it has a sharp smell that hits the nose. It would be great if they could improve on the fragrance ingredients. - It's on the pricier side.

Scent - It has a grassy aroma that's not too overpowering! However, those sensitive to fragrances might find it a bit noticeable. 2. After use - It doesn't leave your skin feeling tight, and the finish is moisturizing, so it doesn't feel irritating - It might be more effective to use in the evening when impurities have built up, rather than in the morning 3. Recommended skin types - I have combination dehydrated skin (oily T-zone, dry U-zone), seborrheic dermatitis, redness, and super sensitive skin. - My skin usually reacts immediately if a product suits me or not, but thanks to the gentle ingredients, it wasn't as irritating as I expected. - I'd recommend this for combination or oily skin types. For those with dry skin, it might be best to use it occasionally when you have dead skin cells to remove.
Cons1. Scent - The lingering fragrance might feel a bit artificial or bothersome to some. 2. There don't seem to be any major drawbacks.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsThis is a review from The Hwahae Testers. I used this product for about 4 days instead of my usual low pH cleansing foam. First off, I liked that it didn't leave that residual feeling typical of low pH cleansing products. However, it didn't have the intense cleansing power of alkaline products that leave your skin squeaky clean or tight. The product description claimed excellent cleansing power for sunscreen, so I used it without a separate first cleanser and didn't experience any blemishes or skin bumps. After cleansing, my skin felt refreshed and thoroughly clean, which I really appreciated.
ConsPersonally, I prefer unscented products, but the fragrance in this was too strong. It had an intense herbal scent that made it almost difficult to use. Fortunately, the scent disappeared completely after rinsing, but it was still bothersome during use. Also, this cleanser doesn't lather well, so you need to use several pumps for each application.
TipIt might be challenging to use this as a daily replacement for a low pH cleansing foam. Instead, it would be great to use it once every 2-3 days for a deep cleanse.

After using it, I actually noticed an improvement in my skin's texture. Being a gel type, it allowed for gentle cleansing. I was impressed by how long-lasting and rich the lather was.
ConsAs it's a gel type, I felt the lather wasn't as voluminous as bubble-type products. However, this didn't make cleansing uncomfortable. The scent was a bit disappointing. I expected a fresh, natural fragrance from a barley product, but it had more of an artificial, detergent-like smell. It wasn't to my liking, which was unfortunate.
TipIt seems that if you work up a good lather before cleansing, the foam lasts quite a while. Gently massaging this foam over areas with texture issues before rinsing leaves you feeling thoroughly cleansed, and your skin noticeably softer. Following up with intense hydration is recommended for best results.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsI applied for The Hwahae Testers event, drawn in by the promise of smoothing out rough skin texture. Luckily, I was chosen to try this product. My skin type is combination - oily T-zone and slightly dry U-zone, with large pores that quickly become rough and bumpy if I slack on skincare. During the testing period, my skin wasn't in great shape due to wearing a mask while battling a nasty cold. The product comes in a light green case with a transparent pump bottle containing a pale green gel cleanser. The gel has a subtle, fresh grass scent, which I personally didn't mind, but it might not be everyone's cup of tea. Regarding usage, one full pump dispenses quite a bit of product. I initially used two pumps, which resulted in a thick lather that took a while to rinse off. I'd say 1-2 gentle pumps are sufficient. It lathers easily with wet hands but not so much when used directly. For a gentler, less irritating cleanse, I recommend wetting your face first or creating a lather with damp hands. The cleanser leaves skin feeling squeaky clean without dryness or tightness, though it doesn't provide significant hydration. My skin felt smooth after cleansing, which I loved. It effectively removes sunscreen, but for heavier makeup, I'd suggest using it as a second cleanse. Overall, this is the most satisfactory cleanser I've used recently. It didn't cause any blemishes, which is impressive as my skin usually reacts to new products within 1-2 days. It also helped reduce the usual breakouts I get from prolonged mask-wearing. As a basic cleanser, it does its job well while also addressing skin texture issues.
ConsDespite having oily skin, I experienced slight tightness, which might be more noticeable for those with dry skin, especially in winter. When I accidentally got some in my eye, the stinging was surprisingly intense. The scent, while not unpleasant, has a slightly artificial quality that I found a bit disappointing. While it effectively removed sunscreen, it fell just short of completely cleansing off foundation. This might be a minor issue for those who prefer to avoid double cleansing.
TipI found using one pump in the morning for a light cleanse and two pumps in the evening resulted in noticeably smoother skin. When removing makeup, I recommend creating a lather with wet hands rather than applying the gel directly. This method, which is also suggested in the product instructions, provides a gentler and more effective cleanse.
