In the first cleansing, all my makeup except mascara was thoroughly removed. It doesn't completely remove everything, so I recommend using a cleansing oil or water for the first cleanse, followed by this product for the second cleanse. This is a Hwahae Trial Reviewer review. I used this product instead of a mild acidic cleansing foam for about 4 days. First of all, I liked that this cleanser did not leave the typical residual feeling of mild acidic cleansing products. However, it was not as cleansing as alkaline products, where the skin feels squeaky clean or tight. The product page stated that it has excellent cleansing power for sunscreen, but I did not experience any additional breakouts or clogged pores without using a primary cleansing step. After cleansing, I felt refreshed and thoroughly cleansed.
