I applied this product over Rom&nd's Melting Balm in Nuga Sand as a base, and it definitely looks prettier with a base! When applied alone, it gives more of a cherry-like red tint.

One of Rom&nd's drawbacks is that the staying power isn't that great. Also, if you're buying this expecting a super glossy finish, I wouldn't recommend it as it's not that type of product. Since it has a hydrating formula, there is some transfer, but it's not excessive!

The absorbs well and feels quite hydrating, so I didn't need to apply lip balm first - it wasn't drying at all! The color is a nude base with a hint of red, making it a wearable shade even for warm skin tones. It falls into the natural color category, making it great for daily use!
