The color is really like acorn jelly, with powder-like particles embedded in it. It's a gel type. There's a cooling effect - although it doesn't contain menthol, it feels increasingly cool deep down as time passes. Maybe it's because of the glacier water! As for absorption, unlike some gel patches that leave a film on the skin after use, this one doesn't. It absorbs well and leaves the skin comfortably hydrated. It seems like it would be great for oily skin or sun-exposed skin in summer.
