I use it in this order: shampoo - treatment - scalp toner - Grow Tonic ampoule. I apply a separate water-based product as a cooling scalp toner all over, and use this specifically for the parting area. It's a transparent ampoule type with a comb applicator, but be careful as the comb is quite sharp. Brush gently. Honestly, after only a month of use, I can't tell if my hair is growing. I'm just using it hoping it at least prevents hair loss. Make sure to apply it to a damp scalp. I don't recommend using it generously like other scalp toners. If you do, it might leave that area feeling a bit stiff even after drying. The cooling effect is nice.
ConsDon't use this on dry hair. It'll make your hair look unwashed. It's not a light, quick-absorbing type like some scalp toners, but rather an ampoule consistency. I bought it at full price from Ol*ve Young, and even though it's refillable and has functional ingredients, it still feels overpriced. If the effects were more noticeable, I'd be willing to pay even more, but I didn't see much benefit for the price. If you want to try it, I'd suggest waiting for a sale or group buy opportunity.
TipUse on damp hair
