This is my first time trying any other Ariul product. First off, I was really impressed with the packaging when I opened it. The embossed top and exterior give a much more luxurious feel than I expected from the brand. When I first opened it, I noticed the included spatula attached on top, which seemed convenient. The actual product compartment had an extra layer of clear plastic for hygiene. While replacing this inner cap after each use might help preserve the product better, I ditched it for convenience. Despite containing Job's tears, I thought it might feel a bit gritty, but when I first applied it, the texture was soft and hydrating. While wearing the mask, I didn't feel any dryness at all. The moisturizing sensation lasted until I rinsed it off. Interestingly, there was a subtle cooling effect, which I think comes from some mint-like ingredient rather than the product being cold. When rinsing, the tiny Job's tears particles seemed to provide a gentle exfoliating effect. It's a wash-off pack that exfoliates while maintaining moisture. Considering its exfoliation properties and refreshing feel, I think I'd reach for this more in summer than winter.
ConsWhile the spatula is handy, it's smaller than expected, making it a bit tricky to apply the mask evenly on the face. Next time, I might just use it to scoop out the product and apply with a makeup spatula or brush instead. The scent isn't overly artificial, but there's something about it... It kind of reminds me of dish soap! If you're looking for a relaxing fragrance experience, this might be hit or miss. A word of caution: sensitive skin types might find the small Job's tears particles and the tingling sensation a bit irritating. I deliberately avoided exfoliating for a few days before using this and had no issues, but those with super sensitive skin should take note!
TipConsider using a different applicator instead of the included spatula
