Clio's Tangle Lash version offers a unique approach with its curved wand, designed to separate and define each lash. While it may not have the extreme waterproof properties of some Japanese brands, it still provides a beautiful, long-lasting look when applied correctly.

For those with combination dehydrated skin or super sensitive skin around the eyes, it's crucial to prep the area properly before applying mascara. This not only helps with the mascara's longevity but also protects your delicate eye area. Remember, a good skincare routine is the foundation for flawless makeup application!

Clio mascara does have a bit of a tendency to smudge. It's not quite as bulletproof as some Japanese mascaras that seem to have industrial-strength waterproofing.

I tend to apply my skincare products quite generously around my eyes, which leaves some residual moisture. This can sometimes cause the mascara to smudge a bit due to the lingering oils. To mitigate this, I'd recommend gently blotting away any excess oils and dusting some powder around your eyes before applying the mascara. This should help it stay put better.

Clio mascara is my absolute favorite. I used to love the Clean Fixing version, but it seems to have been discontinued. So this time, I decided to try the Tangle Lash version.

The mascara wand actually has a curved tip, which I've heard is great for creating those trendy separated lashes that are all the rage right now. Personally, I'm not too fussed about that look and plan to apply it in my usual way.

One thing I always appreciate about Clio mascaras is the overall length of the wand, including the handle. It's longer than most, which I love. I can't go back to shorter wands like those from Etude Curl Fix, Holika Holika, or Peripera - they just feel too cramped now! Clio's longer handle is absolutely top-notch!

For those with sensitive eyes or who prefer a more natural look, this mascara could be a great option. It enhances your lashes without being too dramatic, making it perfect for everyday wear. Just remember to resist the urge to apply multiple coats for the best results!

Applying additional coats after the mascara has dried can be a bit tricky. When I first applied it and went out, it stayed put without smudging for quite a while. However, when I got a bit greedy and tried to add more layers later, I ended up with some of that dreaded mascara dust around my eyes. You know the kind I'm talking about! It seems this mascara works best when applied in one clean, simple coat without trying to build it up too much.

I tried using this mascara after curling my lashes with an eyelash curler, and I have to say, it's great for creating defined, separated lashes! While it might not be the best for dramatically lengthening or volumizing, it does an excellent job of naturally enhancing and setting your lashes in place. The result is a subtle yet noticeable improvement that makes your eyes look more awake and defined.

While they claim the mascara wand separates each lash on its own... I'm not so sure about that. I still end up using my fingernail to separate and arrange my lashes, haha!

The staying power is insane! Usually, no matter what mascara I use, my lashes tend to droop by evening. But with this, even after a full day of work, rubbing my eyes, and everything in between, my lashes look like this right before I wash my face at night.

I absolutely hate it when mascara clumps and makes lashes stick together like fly legs. This one applies just right - not too thin, with a decent thickness, but still clean. It's not entirely clump-free though, so I gently remove a bit from the tips of my lashes after application.

The formula has a unique, slightly tacky texture. You can feel a bit of stickiness, which I think contributes to its excellent fixing power.

There's still some smudging, but it's less messy than others. If you really can't stand any smudging at all, you'll still need to apply a sealer just like with other mascaras.

I was originally planning to buy the famous 'Bbalttu' mascara, but I ended up purchasing this one after seeing great reviews about it being co-developed with YouTuber Sang-eun unnie. I've always had issues with under-eye mascara smudging, so I was half excited, half skeptical about trying this new product that claims to prevent smudging due to its powder content. I have to say, it's pretty good! It applies precisely, even to the lower lashes, which is perfect for enhancing detail. The staying power is impressive, maintaining a clean eye look almost all day without smudging. I'd recommend this if you're after a natural yet defined eye appearance.

It's more convenient to use a dedicated mascara remover rather than a lip and eye remover when taking off mascara.
