I'm writing this review after using this product for over a month. 1. I saw it highly recommended on international anti-aging serum forums, so after keeping it in my cart for months, I finally decided to purchase it. To be honest, most products recommended by overseas beauty enthusiasts don't usually work well for me. Especially with The Ordinary and Paula's Choice, I've been let down so many times that I had many reasons to hesitate before buying. 2. There were a few more reasons why I was hesitant to buy. I tend to try cutting-edge ingredients early on, and as an early adopter, I've already used various growth factors like EGF and IGF years ago, even before they became popular in mainstream brands. Those products were mostly from new companies launching innovative concepts, not from big corporations. Being formulation-focused products from new brands, they weren't very stable, and since my skin isn't particularly resilient, it suffered quite a bit of damage. So I wasn't too keen on these advanced ingredients. 3. That's why when I scoured through reviews for this product, I focused less on its effectiveness and more on whether it caused blemishes. About 9 out of 10 reviews said it didn't cause any issues, so I finally decided to buy it. I'm relieved that it didn't cause any blemishes during the month I've been using it. 4. The reason I'm writing this review is that I finally experienced a firmness I hadn't felt before, despite using all sorts of growth factor products in the past. So I wanted to recommend it. 5. The texture is somewhat watery, so you barely feel any stickiness. When I first applied it, I was a bit disappointed, thinking, "What's this?" But after a week or so, I started noticing a different kind of skin firmness after application. This sensation might not be noticeable to those in their 20s or 30s, but if you're in your late 40s or older, you'll definitely relate to this feeling. 6. I don't use it alone (I generally don't prefer using pure concentrates). I mix it with DermaFactory's 20% Niacinamide Serum and Dermatory's B5 Hydrating Ampoule in a mist spray and apply it like a toner. However, I didn't specifically buy the DermaFactory Niacinamide serum for this purpose. I actually bought three bottles when it was on sale on Coupang and mixed them to use them up. I think you could mix it with any hyaluronic acid serum or 5-10% niacinamide serum you have at home. 7. These days, I'm using a Wellage + 20% Niacinamide toner, followed by this GF 15% + 20% Niacinamide + Dermatory Hydrating Ampoule toner. After that, I apply a brightening serum and a retinol product. For very dry skin, you could add a rich cream, and that should be enough hydration. 8. After using it this way for about a month, I felt a tightening sensation... a noticeable improvement in firmness. My pores are less visible too. At first, it felt so tight that I thought I might be having an allergic reaction, but it's definitely firmness, not irritation. 9. If you want to experience skin firmness from different ingredients, give this a try. It's not too expensive, and even with my super sensitive skin, it didn't cause any blemishes, so I think you can feel safe using it. Try using it with a niacinamide serum. As I get used to it and the weather gets warmer and drier, I'm considering mixing in The Ordinary's Matrixyl for even better hydration. There's nothing I dislike about it. It's become my favorite product from The Ordinary. Remember to patch test any new skincare product, especially if you have sensitive skin. Unlike typical The Ordinary products that focus solely on active ingredients without much regard for texture, this essence has a surprisingly lightweight formula and a subtle scent that isn't bothersome. It has a water-like consistency but absorbs quickly into the skin. While it's designed for skin regeneration and long-term results, I noticed it didn't cause any irritation or blemishes. This might not be one of their main products, as it's often hard to find for testing in Olive Young stores. You may need to visit The Ordinary's own shops to try it out.
