It's a slightly viscous essence that is heavily absorbed into the pad. Moisturizing: The moisturizing effect was abundant. So I intentionally used only the pad and did not use the cream and other essences, and it was sufficient. Absorption: Surprisingly, the absorption was good despite the heavy texture. Additionally, even though it's a pad, there was almost no irritation when using it. The essence was sufficient, so it glided on smoothly without any irritation.
ConsBefore applying makeup, it may seem like it doesn't quite fit. That's why I've only used it for my nighttime skincare routine.
TipUnlike other pads, the formulation of this pad was too heavy to pack like a pad pack, so I wiped it once like a cleansing pad and waited for it to be fully absorbed.

So I'm glad that the usage of the Hwahae pad has been reduced a bit. And strangely, one side has a mesh-like addition, so just lightly applying the Hwahae pad feels like it cleans well. I was wondering if they really attached seaweed to it because of the name "seaweed pad", but it's just a pad that captures that feeling. Still, the feeling of cleansing and masking while nutrients go into the skin was good.^
ConsThe advantage and slightly disappointing aspect is..the content volume is too excessive. Since the formula is a bit slippery, as soon as I take it out, it starts dripping through my fingers, which is inconvenient. The mask lasts a long time and maintains moisture well, but when wiping it off, it flows everywhere and becomes slippery. Since it's a runny formula, the absorption is also slower, so I had to wipe off the excess product and do skincare. It's also disappointing that allergen ingredients were added. The large pad size makes it a bit difficult to apply the mask evenly. It would have been great if there was a perforated line in the middle to make cutting it easier.

However, when I opened the box, the case looked very sturdy and it seemed like the ampoules wouldn't leak even if shaken. The toner pads I had been using previously often had some leakage when I checked them as part of my checked luggage, but this one didn't seem to have that issue. When I opened it, it just had the scent of the ampoules, with no seaweed smell at all. The included tweezers were a nice addition, and there seemed to be a generous amount of ampoules. When I took out the pads, one side felt rough, likely due to the kelp, while the other side was soft. I thought wiping with the rougher side would work well, but the ampoule had a gel-like, slippery texture, so it wasn't easy to wipe. So I ended up using it as a mask instead. As you can see in the photos, one pad can cover half my face, which is great since I have a larger face. I have an oily, combination skin type, and regular moisturizers can sometimes dry out my skin, but this toner pad didn't dry me out at all - my skin stayed hydrated. I'd strongly recommend this to those with oily/combination skin types, though those with drier skin may find it lacking in moisture.
ConsIt seems that the ingredients contain fragrances or allergens. I have very sensitive skin, so I'm picky about the cosmetics I choose. However, I didn't experience any skin reactions or issues after using this product. It was the same as my usual routine. Since it's an aloe gel-type formula, it may feel a bit sticky, and the absorption seems a bit slow. I felt like the product lingered on my skin for quite a while.
TipThose concerned about stickiness should trap moisture with a lotion instead of using it alone~
