As someone who has been loyal to the Torriden brand, trying various products from their line, I expected the sunstick to meet the same quality standards. However, its greasy feel and rich texture make it unsuitable for my skin type. This experience has made me reconsider my trust in the brand's sun protection offerings.

I've gone through over 10 bottles of that Torriden serum and purchased about 4 of their sunscreens as well, so I had high hopes when I bought this sunstick. But it turned out to be a huge letdown. It feels greasy and has a noticeable rich texture... I'm thoroughly disappointed with this sunstick. I only used it twice before sealing it away for good. Torriden developers, you really need to step up your game!

The only silver lining I can think of is that I managed to snag this during a live special offer, so at least I paid less than others... There really doesn't seem to be any other positive aspect to it.

For long outings, I reapply it over makeup, and unless I've powdered, it doesn't cause much smudging, which is great.

For my seborrheic dermatitis, it might look too greasy in summer, so I don't think I'll be able to use it then.

Selected by The Hwahae Testers, but delivery was delayed so I received it on the 21st and started using it then. (When the product didn't arrive, I called Hwahae, and they kindly checked the delivery status and even extended my review period until the 31st.) I had high expectations for this Torriden product due to its popularity. It's fascinating how the product comes up when you twist it. When applied, areas with more product feel a bit warm or cool. It's incredibly hydrating and gives a beautiful glow - it has a strong moisturizing effect. Perfect for winter! The product fits comfortably in your hand, making it easy to apply when you're out. My daughter tried it too, and she was pleased with how it made her face shine.

There's not really anything bad, but if I had to pick something, maybe a slight eye irritation? It's not severe though, so even those who are sensitive to eye irritation shouldn't have any issues using it.

Used for just over two weeks. The application is nice, it spreads well without pilling and adheres nicely to the skin! It has a bit of a rich feel, so I'd recommend it for dry skin types. It leaves a pleasantly matte finish after application.

I own quite a few sunsticks and sunscreens that I rotate through, but the one I keep reaching for, my personal #1 sunstick, is the *Kobo Cotton Soft Sunstick. (Matte finish 5/5, Oiliness/Shine 1/5, 12+ hours of staying power, UV protection 5/5, Gentle on skin 5/5, Doesn't sting eyes, Zero white cast, Actually leaves skin with a subtle soft-focus effect)

Torien Review:

Powdery/Matte finish - It's not matte. It's on the moisturizing side. As expected from Torien, known for hydration, it feels like it's providing moisture as you apply it. However, it's not so moisturizing that it leaves a greasy shine. If the *Torriden Red Blemish sunstick's moisture and glow level is 5/5, Torien would be 3~4/5, and *Kobo would be 1/5.

Application - It feels like a high-quality product when applying. It glides on lightly, and you don't need to apply multiple layers in one go, so it doesn't feel like you're using it up too quickly.

UV protection - I compared 9 sunsticks and 1 sunscreen (2 of which were mineral filters) using a UV camera I bought from Taobao.
There's a photo of my arm without any product, and after application, areas with better UV protection appear as darker black on the screen. As you can see, Torien seems to provide protection just as well as *Kobo and other sunsticks.

Irritation/Eye stinging - Absolutely none

Overall: It's a fresh, moisturizing product with excellent UV protection and gentle on the skin

Here's a pro tip: For extra hydration, try applying the Toreeden sunstick before your regular sunscreen! You'll get double sun protection and a moisture boost!

Cons:
There weren't any significant drawbacks, but I recommend applying it while on the go since it's a sunstick. I'm not sure if it's because of the sunstick, but for a short while after application, the back of my hand felt slightly itchy! However, I have sensitive skin, and all cosmetics have had an adjustment period when I first use them, so I think this might be a similar phenomenon.

Pros:
As you can see in the photo, there's no white cast, which is great. Despite being a sunstick that needs reapplication every 2 hours, it doesn't feel thick at all, so there's less worry about clogged pores compared to other products.

I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the best sunstick I've ever used.

When applying, it feels like it's infusing moisture and a cooling effect inside while giving a powdery finish on the outside. It seems like the perfect item for those with combination dehydrated skin.

The cooling effect is truly amazing.

It's incredibly hydrating and doesn't have that sticky, uncomfortable feeling of applying crayon to your body that's typical of sunsticks. It's so moisturizing that I can't tell if I'm applying a hydrating stick or a sunstick. The application feels great, especially the way the moisture seems to sink in. If it wasn't just for the face, I'd consider skipping skincare and just using this.

If you want to experience moisture absorption firsthand, I highly recommend buying and using this.

After using it for about 4 days, it's become my holy grail 2-in-1 product, providing both hydration and sun protection.

For me, it's a convenient size that fits easily in one hand, making it portable.

Unlike my previous sunstick, there's less oiliness and no stickiness after application, which I appreciate.

It's also fragrance-free, without even the typical cosmetic scent.
