I have a complexion around shade 19, and while many reviews said 1319 wasn't noticeable, I bought 2021 and I'm really happy with the pigmentation! The Too Cool For School Modern seemed to apply a bit... yellowish? Which was a bit disappointing, but this one is more natural than Modern and has a shadow-like color that's really flattering. Built-in brush...? Unfortunately, there were hardly any positives for me. 1. The color is too reddish. It's not a beige with a balanced mix of gray, but more of a pink-gray tone. This kind of color can be very hit or miss... It might suit someone with fair skin without yellow undertones perfectly. As someone who found even Macaron Gray too ashy for contouring, I had the same experience here. Definitely not recommended if you've had similar issues. 2. The brush application is subpar. Using the built-in brush results in excess powder flying everywhere... The brush bristles seem to scrape the powder rather than pick it up smoothly. It's absolutely unusable unless you don't mind powder getting everywhere. The portability is good, I'll give it that, but I had to use a different brush because I can't stand the powder mess. 3. Cystic blemishes. I got painful blemishes exactly where I applied this product, which was really frustrating. I had a similar experience with the Too Cool For School contour, and I can't believe it happened again with Ameli... I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with similar skin sensitivities. I've included a purchase verification photo just in case.
