The color payoff is subtle, but since I have a light complexion, I actually prefer the softer hue. As for staying power, you'll need to reapply after eating. The shade is much lighter than expected, so you need to layer it multiple times to achieve a noticeable tint effect. I bought this because it was recommended for people with naturally darker lips, and it really did show up well on my pigmented lips. I loved the glow and overall look. The color itself was absolutely gorgeous. Strangely, whenever I use this product, my lips become excessively chapped, and the next day I notice an incredible amount of dead skin cells. I'm usually very careful about managing lip exfoliation, but this product seems particularly harsh. I've never experienced this level of flaking with any other glossy lip product before. My lips cracked all the way to the edges, causing a significant buildup of dead skin cells. It took quite a while to repair the damage, which was quite upsetting. If you use this, applying lip balm afterwards seems absolutely necessary. It appears this lip product has both positive and negative aspects. While the color payoff and finish are praised, especially for those with darker lip pigmentation, there are concerns about its drying effects. Consider using a nourishing lip balm in conjunction with this product to mitigate potential dryness and flaking.
