What really won me over was its ability to naturally even out my complexion and how effortlessly it absorbs into the skin. I mainly used it for a foundation-free makeup look.
ConsIt feels quite rich on the skin, and when used before makeup, it caused some pilling. This sunscreen is best suited for a foundation-free makeup routine.
TipWhile it works well for a minimal makeup look, those with oily skin might find it a bit heavy. It's great for achieving that natural, even complexion without foundation, but be cautious if you plan to layer other products on top.

ConsThe staying power is really poor. Plus, it leaves an oily residue and causes darkening of the skin.
TipPersonally, I find Round Lab's product to be better.

I'm writing this review as I'm nearly finished with the bottle. It doesn't sting my eyes, doesn't leave a white cast floating on my skin, and provides a natural one-tone brightening effect without pilling when I apply other makeup! I often receive compliments on my skin when I go out wearing just this. However, as someone with combination dehydrated skin, I do notice that as it gets warmer, some oiliness develops after a while.
ConsAs the hot summer begins, there's a slight increase in richness, but otherwise, it's fantastic. But let's face it, most products tend to feel a bit rich in the summer anyway!

ConsIt's a bit shiny right after application, but you can fix that with a powder It can clump a bit when applying, but that's probably unavoidable with mineral sunscreen ingredients in a combination formula I always feel a slight tightness on my cheeks after applying Overall, it doesn't feel dry at all, just a slight tightness on the cheeks

With just a touch of powder, you can achieve a foundation-free look due to its excellent tone-up effect.
ConsIt can make skin look shiny, so powder is necessary. On combination skin, it might make you look excessively oily.
TipThis works wonderfully when layered under Sulwhasoo's Meibe cushion. You won't need touch-ups all day long.

I'm pleasantly surprised by how well it absorbs - that's definitely a plus! However, I'm not sure if it's just not compatible with my foundation or my skincare routine, but when I use this alone, my makeup tends to break up and leave little patches. It also seems to make my skin oilier than usual. I can't pinpoint the exact cause, so unfortunately I can't use it under makeup. Nonetheless, when used on its own, it's suitable for oily skin types. It provides just enough brightening that you could confidently go out with a bare face!
ConsWhen used before makeup, it causes my foundation to break down. My skin becomes oilier than usual and the product leaves marks as it breaks apart. It's strange because I never have issues with pilling when I first apply my makeup! I'm not sure why this happens...

The tone-up isn't overwhelming, making it comfortable to wear. As it's a hybrid formula, it absorbs well without feeling heavy, spreading evenly. It's perfect for use before makeup, as it doesn't apply patchily but rather evens out the overall skin tone nicely. Most importantly, it doesn't cause any eye irritation! I have sensitive eyes and usually experience stinging with both hybrid and mineral sunscreens, but this product caused no discomfort at all! When I need to drop my child off at daycare or run errands but feel self-conscious about going bare-faced, applying just this product is enough to create a fresh, luminous 'no-makeup' look.
ConsThere's a slight increase in oiliness as time passes. Though this could be due to the warmer weather or seasonal changes.
TipIt provides enough hydration that you can finish your skincare routine at the essence step and apply this sunscreen directly. In fact, skipping the emulsion step seemed to improve its staying power.

I'm in my 40s with combination dehydrated skin. I'm a big fan of Cell Fusion C and always keep their Laser Sunscreen stocked up. After writing a comparison review when the Laser Sunscreen was renewed, I was excited to try this new Spot Toning Sunscreen when I heard it had been updated. The texture is similar to the original Laser Sunscreen, which I love. The main reasons I keep using Cell Fusion C products are: 1) They don't irritate my eyes, and 2) My makeup doesn't break down even after wearing it for a long time. This product definitely met both of these criteria! I'm very satisfied. Plus, it naturally brightens my complexion by about half a shade. When I pat it in, it absorbs well and adheres to my skin naturally, so I can apply makeup without any pilling. It's been great to use!
ConsCompared to the Laser Sunscreen, this one feels a bit richer. As I have extremely oily skin, I usually blot with a tissue after applying sunscreen and foundation, then finish with powder. With this product, I noticed it occasionally pills a little. However, it's still much less oily than sunscreens from other brands, so I'd still recommend it for those with oily skin!

My complexion tends to be on the yellow side, so when I use just any sunscreen, it often makes my face look dull or leaves a white cast, applying thickly. However, this one has a pink tone-up effect that naturally balances out the yellow tones. The moment I apply it, my face feels instantly brightened. It's also lightweight and adheres well to the skin. Due to my yellow-toned skin, I've been using Serenity base, but it's too drying. This sunscreen is perfect to use before that.
ConsAfter some time, it gets slightly oily, but I just touch up with some powder then.
TipFor those with yellow-toned skin, try using this along with Serenity!

Given it's a product for evening out skin tone and blemishes, the duration of use seems crucial. We all know that skincare alone can't dramatically improve dark spots or blemishes, right? But since I'm going to use sunscreen anyway, I might as well stick with this one consistently. It's too early to tell about the effects though~ You could say it leaves a slight white cast, but there's a subtle pink pearl effect that makes your skin sparkle. It's like applying a dewy base product~ Oh, and I must mention - it absorbs incredibly well! Now that I think about it, the hydration was great too! I never experienced any deep dryness, and it absorbed quickly. As someone who's still searching for the perfect sunscreen, I'd recommend this to anyone who prioritizes good absorption and moisturizing effects.
ConsContrary to my expectations, there were a few downsides. First, it feels quite rich on the skin :( While not severe, there was a slight white cast if it doesn't match your complexion, and unfortunately, it didn't play well with other makeup products.
TipAfter applying a thin layer on your skin, use oil blotting paper to remove excess oil before moving on to your base makeup!
