However, the Abib sunscreen strikes a perfect balance, making it ideal for combination skin types. First off, it's formulated with gentle ingredients, making it suitable even for blemish-prone skin. The inclusion of Houttuynia Cordata extract seems to contribute to its skin-soothing properties. I prefer zinc oxide-based mineral sunscreens over titanium dioxide ones, as zinc oxide tends to be milder and can help improve acne. So, I was thrilled to discover this non-nano zinc oxide formulation. Surprisingly, there's hardly any white cast. The sunscreen has a green tint that gives a slight brightening effect upon application, but it doesn't persist. Despite being a mineral sunscreen, it applies smoothly with minimal white cast, making it perfect for daily use. While it's not as silky as some chemical sunscreen essences I use, it's relatively smooth for a mineral formula, allowing for even application. What's more, it's impressively hydrating for a mineral sunscreen. Dryness has always been my biggest gripe with mineral formulas, but after applying my moisturizer and this sunscreen, I didn't feel parched throughout the day. The finish isn't sticky, but it does leave a subtle glow on the skin. I haven't experienced any issues with makeup application over it. It seems like it would be comfortable to use even in summer. Like most mineral sunscreens, it requires thorough cleansing to remove. You'll need to use an oil-based cleanser like cleansing oil or milk, and make sure to emulsify properly. On days when I apply a thicker layer, I follow up with a foaming cleanser for a double cleanse. Other than that, I haven't encountered any issues. - sg******Combination SkinRecommendedMay 29, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

As a mineral sunscreen enthusiast, I had given up on good absorption, but this is the best I've used in terms of spreadability. It applies smoothly and moistly, making the absorption truly satisfying. Even when hastily applied in the morning, it spreads evenly without pilling. ๐ Mineral sunscreen I love mineral sunscreens because they're gentle on sensitive skin and provide immediate sun protection. The ABIB Mild Acidic pH Houttuynia Cordata Relief Sun Cream is great because it's a mineral sunscreen. ๐ Deep hydration I have combination dehydrated skin, so I prioritize deep moisture. Unlike other mineral sunscreens that often leave my skin feeling matte on the surface but parched underneath, this one doesn't. It feels more like a moisturizing chemical sunscreen. It's comfortable without any deep dryness, making it suitable for year-round use. ๐ Pump dispenser The product comes in a pump bottle, which keeps the opening cleaner compared to squeeze tubes. ๐ Sun protection and ingredients With SPF 50+ and PA++++, it offers excellent UV protection. I have seasonal allergies and was using this during a time when my skin was super sensitive, but it didn't cause any reactions. ABIB's Houttuynia Cordata line is famous, and I had high expectations. The sunscreen doesn't disappoint. Highly recommended. ๐ค It's not really a downside, but when first using it, you need to pump it over 10 times for the product to come out. This only happens on the initial use. ๐ For mineral sunscreens, don't squeeze out the entire amount at once. Instead, apply it in sections - squeeze a bit on your cheeks and spread, then on your forehead and spread, and so on. This method helps it absorb better. While the ABIB Houttuynia Cordata sunscreen already has good absorption, applying it this way makes it spread even more easily. - ys*****Dry SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 29, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Usually, I apply sunscreen with a puff due to its heaviness, but with Abib's product, there's hardly any heavy feeling. I can apply it with my hands without any residue. This made me realize I don't really need to use a puff with this one. What's more, it's so lightweight that you can't even feel it on your skin, making it comfortable to wear throughout the day. If you apply it after thorough moisturizing, it can feel a bit greasy and like it's sitting on top of the skin. It feels fresh and nice when applied after light moisturizing. - ji********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMay 29, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Here's my honest review: Texture: While we use sunscreen year-round, it's especially crucial in summer, right? I absolutely detest sticky sunscreens and try to avoid them at all costs! I'm happy to report that the ABIB sunscreen doesn't have that unpleasant stickiness. The consistency is just right - neither too runny nor too thick - allowing for smooth, effortless application. Scent: You know that distinct rubbery smell some mineral sunscreens have? Well, I'm pleased to say I didn't detect any of that here. In fact, I hardly noticed any scent at all. Final thoughts: I applied this sunscreen with a puff and was impressed to see no white cast! However, I did notice my face looked a bit shinier than before application, so you might want to follow up with some powder if you prefer a matte finish. The real game-changer for me was how it performed under makeup. With previous sunscreens, my skin would often feel itchy and irritated when it heated up, especially under foundation. But with ABIB, I experienced none of that discomfort. Overall, the ingredients seem to agree with my skin beautifully. It's a winner in my book! After using this product, I experienced a breakout on my chin. However, I'm not sure if this sunscreen is to blame, as I've been trying out quite a few new products lately. Remember, everyone's skin is unique, so what works for one person may not work for another. It's always a good idea to patch test new products, especially if you have sensitive or acne-prone skin. - tp********Oily SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 29, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

This is truly excellent. For a mineral sunscreen, it absorbs beautifully and leaves minimal white cast. I'm liberally applying this mineral sunscreen even before makeup. I'm currently abroad, and my skin doesn't tan when I use this. It's definitely passed the performance test. I'll keep repurchasing for sure. Plus, it's gentleness personified. The product only dispenses well when it's towards the front of the tube. Not a major inconvenience though. I fell in love with the Abib brand through their essence, but I've learned that some products work for me while others don't, so I'm selective in my usage. The toner, pads, and foam cleanser don't suit me, but the essence and this mineral sunscreen are truly fantastic. - dl*******Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 28, 2025
It's gentle and quite nice. While it's not completely non-sticky over time, it feels moisturizing and isn't particularly sticky. I have acne-prone skin, but this hasn't caused any severe blemishes. My complexion looks slightly brighter and natural. The packaging... At first, I thought it was very hygienic, but suddenly the product stopped coming out. I ended up having to separate the lid. The pump is inconvenient. It would have been great if it dispensed properly. - to******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 28, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

First off, let's just forget about my visible pores in the photo, shall we? As you can see in the picture, unlike traditional tube sunscreens, ABIB's Heartleaf Mild Sun Cream Relief Tube comes with a pump, making it much more convenient to use. This product is a mineral sunscreen, which I found to be incredibly gentle on the skin. After application, I noticed a smooth, even finish. Since I have super sensitive skin, I typically opt for mineral sunscreens over chemical ones. This Heartleaf Mild Sun Cream was no exception - it felt very gentle and comfortable on my skin. The texture is creamy, allowing for a really smooth application. It's been tested for acne-prone skin and passed a primary irritation test for sensitive skin, which gave me extra peace of mind. As someone who prefers a brighter complexion, I always check the SPF rating. With SPF 50+, I felt well-protected using this sunscreen. While some mineral sunscreens can feel thick and heavy, this one has a creamy texture that glides on smoothly. After application, it gives a subtle brightening effect without any white cast or that floating face look. It's perfect for a natural glow when you're just popping out to the store. I chose ABIB because of its reputation for soothing products, and I wasn't disappointed. For those worried about eye irritation, I can say I didn't experience any stinging at all. As summer approaches and full-face makeup becomes tricky for commuting, I've been using just this sunscreen for my base these days. I usually do one pump for my face and another for my neck. I'm curious about trying the Fade-Free Tone-Up Sun CC from the same line for a makeup-free look. I haven't found many downsides while using this product. However, I do have to wear a mask at work. Lately, I've been going to work with just sunscreen as my base, and I've noticed it rubbing off a bit when I take my mask on and off. While it's great that it doesn't fully absorb into the skin, this can be a bit inconvenient for someone like me who has to wear a mask all day. I apply this sunscreen once in the morning and reapply several times throughout the day. It's recommended to reapply sunscreen every 3-4 hours for optimal protection. - wo******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMay 28, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Recently, due to dermatitis, the U-zone extending to the neck is extremely dry (to the point of flaking) The application is surprisingly smooth for a mineral sunscreen, and it absorbs quickly. The color is a light mint, and it's nearly fragrance-free (there's a slight typical sunscreen scent). There's a hint of white cast when first applied, but it disappears quickly - it's practically non-existent. Perhaps due to the mint color or the houttuynia cordata extract, it seems to slightly reduce redness. (It's not like wearing makeup though) Despite being a mineral sunscreen, it doesn't feel thick or drying, nor does it leave an overly rich feeling, which is great. If you've done proper skincare, it feels so hydrating that there's minimal pilling. Even though it's a mineral sunscreen, it would work well under makeup! And most importantly for me - no eye irritation! True to its mineral nature. Overall, it's like a gentle mineral sunscreen that combines the best of both mineral and chemical sunscreens. If you dislike white cast but find chemical sunscreens too irritating, you'll likely be very satisfied with this. I have no issues with the product itself, but the packaging was inconvenient. It's a tube with a pump-style top, which made the product come out irregularly. Sometimes I had to press multiple times to get any product out, which was frustrating. I think a simple tube design would be easier to use! Applying thin layers multiple times helps prevent pilling and provides a good base for makeup, preventing it from sliding off.
