The formula is lightweight, making it easy to spread. It offers a subtle brightening effect that's not overwhelming. As it fills in pores with a thin layer and gives a glow, it's more suitable for dry skin rather than oily skin types.
ConsWhile it initially provides good coverage and evens skin tone, there's noticeable darkening after about 3 hours. It can cause eye irritation if it gets into your eyes.

While it's not extremely hydrating, I never felt any dryness at all. It works well under cushion foundation without pilling. I even noticed some blemishes on my chin seem to have faded a bit! I'll definitely keep using this brightening moisturizer.
ConsI haven't experienced any discomfort or breakouts while using this product so far!

It was also easy to apply with just the right amount.
ConsWhile it's meant for blemish coverage, it might not completely conceal larger spots (results may vary).

Its smooth and hydrating texture is a real plus. You can apply it comfortably without any stiffness or that typical sunscreen feeling. It seems perfect for use during cold and dry seasons.
ConsWhile it feels rich upon application, it doesn't leave a greasy sheen right after absorption. However, once you apply makeup over it and some time passes, it tends to bring out a lot of oil. I already have oily cheeks, and with this product, the oil production increases so much that my makeup completely melts off in those areas.

As I have light skin (shade 13), the brightening effect isn't too dramatic for me, but those with shade 21 will see a lovely brightening result. Unlike most brightening products that feel moisturizing only when applied and quickly dry out, this one is less prone to that issue. It also absorbs well and has a smooth application.
ConsI personally wish the color was a bit lighter, but that's just my individual preference.
TipFor those with very dry skin, it's best to mix this with a hydrating moisturizer or use it over a thorough, hydrating skincare routine.

Similar to Es*** pink sunblock. No dryness when just applying cream and sunblock, but concealer makes those areas dry. Pairs well with Es*** BB Velvet Cushion. Brightening the complexion with this sunscreen and then patting on a 23 shade cushion creates a natural, radiant look with a nice glow. I wear contacts and experienced no eye irritation. The narrow opening keeps it clean, and it's easy to control the amount when applying in two layers.
ConsThe product is beige, but the white cast looks a bit off before absorption. Unavoidable with mineral sunscreens, but... Can anyone tell me if this is easy to wash off?

Even when applying a generous amount, it doesn't feel dry or cause pilling or clog pores. Instead, it adheres smoothly to the skin, giving a sleek appearance. Rather than creating a floating white cast, it beautifully brightens and corrects the complexion. For those who prefer light makeup, this sunscreen alone might be enough to achieve a satisfying skin tone.
ConsHowever, despite having dry skin, I was a bit disappointed that it became quite oily and shiny as time passed.
TipWhile I don't plan to repurchase at the moment, it's certainly a well-made, smart sunscreen. It contains pure Vitamin C and Niacinamide, which are essential for photoaging care. If you don't usually use these ingredients in your skincare routine, it might be worth trying the Innisfree Vitamin C Tone-Up Sun cream as a priority!

I've tried several products but wasn't impressed until I got to experience this Innisfree tone-up product. I'm absolutely thrilled with it! Skin type: Combination Usage period: About 7 days Texture: Smooth and easy to apply, not thick or heavy Experience: The moisturizer has a nice hydrating feel and absorbs beautifully. It doesn't leave my skin feeling dry or tight at all! I used it alone on bare skin and found that it brightened my complexion more effectively than other products I've tried. It also evened out my skin tone, which I'm very satisfied with! As someone with combination skin, I always worry about oil buildup in my T-zone, but this product left me less oily than other sunscreens. I ended up using fewer oil blotting sheets! Out of all the sunscreens I've tried, this one performs the best in terms of brightening and oil control - the two factors I consider most important. Recommended for: I highly recommend this for combination or oily skin types! Those with dry skin might also find it suitable if they use a good moisturizing base.
ConsThere's nothing particularly disappointing about this product. If I had to mention one thing I'd like to see improved, it would be the longevity of the brightening effect. Since I don't usually reapply during the day, it would be great if the tone-up effect lasted a bit longer from a single application.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsI have sensitive, combination skin (dry cheeks, oily T-zone) with blemishes. When choosing sunscreen, assuming it provides adequate protection, I look for: 1. Whether it plays well with makeup without pilling 2. If it's not too greasy, causing breakouts 3. If it's not so light that it dries out my skin 4. Whether it feels comfortable on the skin 5. If it causes eye irritation (crucial for me due to dry eyes) Functional ingredients: It contains vitamin C, niacinamide, and tocopherol to help with dark spots while you're out. Though I can't confirm the spot-reducing effects after just a week, I find it reassuring that it includes these beneficial ingredients not found in other sunscreens. I also appreciate the long UVA protection that claims to penetrate clouds and glass, preventing photoaging. It seems well-suited for the current trend of slow aging, so I'll likely continue using it. Hybrid sunscreen: Though I have sensitive skin, I don't often use mineral sunscreens due to their drying effect, makeup pilling, and non-washable nature. I do occasionally use hybrid formulas. They're convenient for those unexpected outings when you need to apply something quickly, and this product being a hybrid is a plus. Texture: The texture is nice. It glides on smoothly without feeling suffocating or heavy. Unlike some zinc oxide sunscreens that leave a lingering, uncomfortable film even after double cleansing, this one feels light and comfortable. Hydration: It feels cool and hydrating upon application, but once it sets, it's not particularly moisturizing. However, it doesn't feel drying either - it strikes a good balance. Tone-up effect: I didn't expect much in terms of tone-up based on other reviews, and as someone with a 13-17 skin tone, I didn't notice a significant brightening effect. However, it does provide a subtle evening out of skin tone, which is nice for quick errands when you don't want to apply full makeup. Gentle formula: It seems to be non-irritating as I didn't experience any additional breakouts. Given my history of spending over $1000 on acne treatments and having extremely sensitive skin that reacts badly to even toners, causing steroid cream use and keloid scars, the fact that this didn't cause any issues is noteworthy. Eye irritation: As someone with severe dry eye syndrome who tears up at the slightest breeze and gets eye discharge, I'm happy to report that this sunscreen didn't cause any significant eye irritation. Of course, if it gets directly into your eyes or mixes with sweat, there might be some stinging, but that's to be expected. Fragrance: It's completely fragrance-free. While I'm not particularly sensitive to fragrances, the absence of scent makes it feel clean and gentle ingredient-wise.
ConsPilling: Despite all the positives mentioned above, the reason I only gave it 3 stars is due to pilling. I'm used to using watery sun serums and wasn't worried about pilling, but when I applied the recommended amount in one go, it started to ball up. I had to wipe off the areas where it pilled the most, like between my eyebrows, before applying makeup. It's definitely not ideal for use under makeup. As someone who always ensures a solid skincare base including sunscreen before makeup, this was quite disappointing. Even when layering it gradually, I still noticed some pilling around the mouth, between the brows, and under the eyes. Oiliness: Perhaps because I'm used to sun serums, but I found this gave quite a shiny, oily finish. Right after application, my whole face looked shiny despite not feeling particularly moisturized. This isn't the skin finish I prefer, so I wasn't a fan.
TipEasy to wash off: Personally, I prefer sunscreens that are easy to wash off (mainly because I'm too lazy for double cleansing). However, for outdoor activities in spring or sweaty summer days, a more tenacious sunscreen might be preferable. So this aspect could be a pro or con depending on your needs and the situation. It might be particularly good for days with outdoor activities or when you expect to sweat a lot.

Even after some time, it doesn't dry out, so my makeup doesn't crack. It has a great brightening effect and works well as a makeup base, helping my makeup adhere nicely. I'd recommend this for dry and combination dehydrated skin types! As someone with combination dehydrated skin, it was just perfect for me!
ConsWhile it's moisturizing, it tends to produce quite a bit of oil, so those with oily skin might find their makeup sliding off. It could also potentially cause blemishes. As a brightening moisturizer, it does even out the skin tone, but it doesn't cover any spots at all, so it might be difficult to use on its own!
TipWhen used as a makeup base, it helps your makeup adhere nicely with a hydrated finish!
