As someone with dry skin, I wouldn't say it provides that deep, intense hydration
In other words, while it's not drying, it doesn't give that sensation of moisture welling up from within. It's tricky to describe.

If you apply too much at once, it doesn't absorb well and can feel heavy on the skin. It's best to start with a small amount and adjust as needed.
