Peripera lips tend to darken a bit once opened, so it's best to use them up within a relatively short period of time.

Bright plum pink, fuchsia pink, fluorescent pink -> don't match well
Muted pink -> dull
Whitish rabbit tongue strawberry milk color -> doesn't show up
Coral pink -> too warm

Using a good base lipstick and applying it with a glossy finish can really brighten up the face. The color is not too bold, so just applying a tone-up sun cream and lightly layering the lipstick gives a natural, barely-there makeup look.
